That is just incredibly sad. At least we actually have video footage to preserve its memory for a long time to come. The same for any other video footage that managed to catch it on both sides of the channel.

Been around for probably billions of years if not hundreds of millions, and in mea second, it is gone. I’m just glad that it can be preserved, even if it is only in this small way, to be appreciated by people for a long time to come.

I couldn’t agree more. That’s all the pettiness and short-term thinking goes on in this world thanks to humans, the universe is still happily rotating, spreading out around us in increments of thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions, tens of millions, hundreds of millions and billions or years. It’s most truly appreciated on the YouTube channel Melodysheep. It’s sad in a way, it truly is, but it’s also so absolutely beautiful. We’ve just got to decide, what part do we want to play in all of this!?

Oh woooow.😲😍🤩 This’s absolutely amazing. Would’ve been even cooler if there was a sonic boom, although perhaps because it was over water and still quite far away it wasn’t able to reach land as much as like the one that made landfall over Russia a few years ago.To think, those guys down there missed it by one lorry getting in the way.😖😆😓 This is some really good footage still. I wonder if there are any official monitoring stations that picked it up.

@mattiemclean9882 Seriously, it landed in France? Blimey that thing really was bright then if it was able to look so close travelling over the English channel. Do they know where it landed?
