It really has been spectacular to see the Sri Lankan people rising up like this and this time fully in the name of democracy to actually bring about long-lasting change. I hope that the biggest thing will be that from now on, apart from finally fixing the economy, will actually be to fix the constitution so that any leader ‘can only be elected TWICE’. Allowing somebody to be elected an infinite amount of times is one of the big reasons why this kind of problem with leaders happens in the first place.
