The one that consolidation I guess is that at least 150-year-old fig trees are still alive. At least those ones anyway. Initially they believed that early they had been completely destroyed. It could be that they will be able to recover after about one of two years or so. This will surely be an ongoing project to see how native forna and flora can recover from climate related disasters. it’s heartbreaking though to know that a lot of the local colonial buildings would’ve been destroyed as well, as surely a lot of them date back to when the settlement was still under British control. It’s so sad to think that a lot of these beautiful areas are now gone. Hopefully, some form of traditional reconstruction can happen eventually.
