  1. This is truly a great step forward and I’m so glad that Finland and Sweden have joined this security agreement with the UK which will be a great stopgap measure until both countries are able to join NATO. I’m so glad Boris has gone forward with this. This is history in the making.🇬🇧🇸🇪🇫🇮

  2. I couldn’t agree more. Just because we voted for Brexit didn’t mean we were turning away from being Europeans. People who mixed those up really were the confused ones. We mainly want to greater control over our finances and secure our borders, but apart from that we wish to be more linked culturally and militarily with all our fellow European allies than ever when it comes to at least helping each other,but course making sure that each country is capable of defending itself if needed.

  3.  @robpollitt5367  I don’t really think it will force his hand as he knows that if he did touch Finland was also fighting in Ukraine that he would be done for.If he touched Finland then they would just be crushed up there with how well-trained they are, and if UK forces were involved then Russia would try to most likely attack us, which would then draw in the rest of NATO. Russia cannot risk this so they will have to stay away from us and both northern European countries until they have fully joined.

  5. That is definitely exactly the point I think. It’s a perfect stopgap measure to reassure both countries that they will be safe during the transitioning period to joining NATO and send a clear message to Russia that if they do threaten them, they’ll have to deal with the UK at the same time and they wouldn’t win it with the likes of Finland and the UK fighting together whilst also struggling in Ukraine. This is a brilliant forward for all three countries and I’m glad all three European leaders have made this unilateral decision so quickly. Well done to Boris Johnson and the leaders of Sweden and Finland.

  6. I couldn’t agree more. As with Ukraine, the UK fully stands even more now with Finland and Sweden and if the time comes, we will stand alongside anyone of you and fight if necessary to protect your sovereignty, freedom and democracy is. For now though, Slava Ukraine.

  7. I couldn’t agree more with you. It’s so wonderful that our agreement to work together even under the hardest of times and difficult of circumstances has now been put to pen and paper. Let us all know hope now that this agreement has been done that we can now all focus on working together to back up Ukraine in every way they need, both financially, medically and militarily and keep momentum going to get this war done and over with. 🇬🇧🇸🇪🇫🇮🇺🇦
