Honestly I’m kind of disappointed. I really don’t believe Sunak will be a good prime minister in the interim until we have a general election. Boris would’ve done a better job. It’s also a big shame really. Because Sunak is Britain’s first Asian prime minister and prime minister of colour so for him to be prime minister like this versus hell Barack Obama became president, makes it all feel very disappointing really and hollow. As in, this is how Britain gets its first Asian colour prime minister. Simply because he was the last person left on the list that the party might trust to do the job. Not because he was trusted by the British people and elected as such. As a result, it all feels very rushed and very disappointing. Hardly feels like The big momentous occasion that it feels like it would’ve been celebrated as if this was any other regular year and it was an election. I think people are going to weirdly just skim over this as it was any other day because we just don’t feel like we are interested in celebrating right now and with everything else distracting us, we are all acting very differently to how we would otherwise behave if it was done in a general election with the weight of history behind it.
