  2. I very much doubt that part as well, but would be nice if it did happen. I’m betting they could get the project completed before 2028 if they were actually willing to accept the fact that they would have to have a reduced service. But then again this is America we are talking about. Accepting less profits would be like asking them not to drink. It’s profits or nothing.😓 The only other country that I can imagine could get it done sooner would have to be China. Especially as the new Beijing airport being built looks surprisingly very veeeeery similar to this one. Both in materials, structural shape and interior design.

  3. I’m with you there. It feels like a while ago but not THAT LONG😱😟. To think it actually happened in the same year as the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate. That feels like a pretty good indicator. So much has happened in the past 10 years that feel like they’ve gone by in a flash, and yet at the same time hardly anything has changed at all.

  4. Yeah that’s really what I was expecting. I thought for sure he was going to have some sort of new experimental solution in destroying spent uranium rods but I guess not. We really should be focusing on a way honestly to try and get it into space and sending it into the Sun. I know that still just throwing it away, but at least that way it will genuinely be completely destroyed with nothing left whatsoever.

  5.  @leohickey4953  It definitely feels like some sort of a phallic symbol or something. Big towers symbolise economic growth which draws morepeople in. It’s basically saying “look at me look at me I’m so impressive, please keep bringing in money. We don’t want peasants to just live here.” I mean, there is a prerequisite for this kind of thinking to keep things moving which is understandable, but seeing how our economy is right now and the amount of people that don’t have homes, it really just doesn’t make sense to keep thinking this way anymore. although to make sure that actually even makes sense for those that don’t have homes, we really should be banning people who have foreign passports from being allowed to own them, and do background checks to make sure those people aren’t buying them for a third-party.

  7.  @664theneighbor5  I think you’ll find we know a lot about America and in many ways more than many Americans themselves do. Also don’t be so salty about paying taxes. You guys pay higher tax levels than many of us European nations do yet you are far worse off than we are. We pay less taxes yet make sure all that money goes towards the right services including national healthcare rather than privatisation. It’s all about balance in America is way out of whack.

  9. I’m on a university game course here in the UK so I’m quite familiar with Unreal engine it’s great to see that they are collaborating on a project like this. It goes to show the true range of abilities that unreal engine from Epic Games can achieve when utilised correctly like this. It’s not just a gaming engine now, it’s a world engine.

I’ve got to say, I’m not usually pro these kinds of large-scale construction projects out in the natural world like this, but seeing as it’s just a tunnel and will have very minimal impact on the surrounding area and will massively cut down on emissions produced by vessels and transport time, it seems like a really great idea and I really hope that the project is able to go ahead as scheduled. This truly is a thousand year endeavour in the making.👌🏼

It was really weird looking at these American style family homes still being built when they just don’t fit the context to the 21st-century anymore and they don’t age well when they should really be taking a leaf out of European constructions where we do mixed middle density projects where everything is more varied to feel more natural and organic.

  13. I hope it won’t be much longer. I mean, a lot of it already looks ready now. Any longer and I’ll end up damaging the parts they’ve already put in. I’m really not a fan of modern age architectural interior designs, but I can still appreciate the work they put into the tunnelling and platforms here. It’s just the stations that really need improving.

  14. This flood defences truly are impressive and something we can imagine only Japan would be best Art. But still, it breaks my heart to see that so many towns have to be essentially flooded with these high rising concrete monoliths to protect them, yet at the same time taking away a lot of the soul of these places that true people to them in the first place. They could very well increase the moving of people from these coastal towns to the big cities. Only making the split between urban and rural even larger. I would love to live in Japan someday if I could, but I would never want to live in a town with a massive wall like this. They are definitely right that they should look at combining flood defences with greener options to lower the environmental and visual impact.

  16. This is all such wonderful news. I mean, I’m always more of a fan of redevelopment and upgrade for a lot of these areas that have poor quality buildings into great film and technology hubs, so long as they don’t plan on expanding into greenbelt land.👍🏼 This was a great video.

We are fine on our own really and America spends far too much on its military by comparison to what is needed in the first place. You could probably do a 20 or 30% reduction in your military budget and still be fine in Fun all of that money into environmentally clean construction projects and a national health service.

Also that reduction in military spending is not only POSSIBLE, but also greatly needed. It is just draining you not only of everything you truly need but your future prosperity and this is one of the reasons why other countries are now the rising stars.

If the Chinese government could encourage construction companies to start building more traditional style Chinese houses again but with modern day conveniences and architectural knowledge for improved quality and long-term resistance it would be so awesome. Japan could also really do the same thing as well frankly.

What absolute bullshit. This is an absolute waste of money in every respect, and the tower looks ridiculous to from the outside with it being so thin, plain and tall like that. This tower really is truly just a vanity project for the super rich. I’m so glad I don’t live in the US. You claim to not be a class driven system, yet clearly the gap between The rich and the poor truly has skyrocketed more so than it ever has.👎🏼 I say redevelop them all or just simply tear them down. Give some people a proper eyes view of the sky This is a bigger waste of money than anything I’ve seen built in Dubai or China.

  24. I really wish this Hassell had won the 3-D printed Mars base challenge. They weren’t even at the final competition. But I guess that’s because the actual tech itself is still in the development stage. Their design definitely seems like the most feasible overall by miles. I really hope their plan becomes a reality.

  27. That is absolutely horrific. What is the size of the development you are working on right now? Charging that much when they know the occupancy level is going to be that low (%8) is absolutely horrific. I know it’s supposed to be all about profit really to the shareholders, but there has to be a fricking limit. It is too disgusting. I mean, these people are supposed to be, you know, people right? Actual human beings? Where is the line. Surely we crossed it over 10 years ago.

  29. This really looks like an incredible space to enjoy. The construction technique is really fascinating and I would love to see more like it around the world. They could certainly just keep doing it the same way and just have the topography different each time. If I ever did visit the US someday, this would definitely be on my list of unique architectural and environmental sites to see. On a note on the final few statements though. I do believe that London made the right decision in not building that garden bridge design. It would’ve been just too radical in its styling and construction materials by comparison to the surrounding city. It would’ve basically drawn everyone’s I have been a huge contrast to the city it was in. Especially with it being made entirely out of concrete. That’s a big no-no for us. I do believe that we need a garden bridge, but one is actually built to reflect the architecture of the city it in. I have some of that takes a leaf out of Georgian or Victorian architecture.👌🏼

  39. This is a really good design for all of the venues. Especially like the fact that they are reusing a lot of the stadiums from the last Olympics seeing as they were so brilliantly made. I do question though it’s green credentials by simply including wood in a lot of the structures. I mean, the building some cells may be made of more stuff from nature, but it doesn’t mean they are good for the environment. You still had to cut down trees in order to make them. If you wanted to be totally green you would’ve made the entire structure out of nothing but metal. At least the majority are powered by renewable green energies.

Finland at least has a high standard in everything they do, even if one of those is simply to just bury the stuff and most likely forget about it sometime in the distant future, only for it to bite us in the ass one day. Here’s a solution. Have SpaceX someday use Starship to ferry regular pods of spent uranium fuel rods into the Sun to be incinerated permanently.

  50. This is so wonderful to witness. Congratulations to the company for being able to get building certification for this project. Hope they are able to roll this out to all their new customers as fast as they want.I would totally love to see this happening here in the UK as well. The only possible concern I would ever have with 3-D printing the buildings would be what they were printed out of. Although obviously you can incorporate as many premade structures into a 3-D building as you want so I guess that can help negate some negatives anyway. 👍🏼

  52. JESUS CHRIST THAT’S AN INCREDIBLE INTERIOR.😮 iIm glad they haven’t gone overboard with the interior in terms of padding everything in glass, even though it’s still a very modern interior. I really don’t like the main open spaces though separate from the main platforms, but the actual tunnels themselves seem very in keeping with London’s curved tiles aesthetic, even though they actually aren’t made of ceramiciles this time. I think I would’ve preferred it if the rest of the new cross rail had more Victorian themes to it. I.e., more red brick and perhaps some iron vaulting, metalwork and statuettes at different intervals along the columns to really help it blend together with what really makes it London, rather than just any other place in the rest of the world. We cannot forget who we are.

  53. It really is a wonderful piece of design and architecture. It feels almost very much like a near honeycone shape. Now that I would definitely like to see built, but with a nice seating area inside each pod as you get to observe the entire environment around you, be it in the countryside or the city.

I do have to miss that although it’s annoying that we have to keep doing expenses like these and going into the sea is not a good idea at all in the 21st-century, there’s construction project really has been well thought out and looks really awesome. Granted the architectural design does feel kind of retro for some reason, but I like how they really thought about the environmental impact, how it is very green and the way the buildings slope down from highest to lowest to emulate the Monaco environment.

  56. I truly believe that the Hyperloop system is the future. It will help to plug the gap in so many forms of public infrastructure that struggle to be electrified. This could very well help to alleviate the stress on airlines going electric.

  58. It really is so remarkable that Manchester has actually changed this much. Honestly until I saw the video I still always just pitched Manchester is being a northern city full of more rude people and football obsessives with a lot of new modern flats and apartments for the Apple cameras and successful entrepreneurs. But this has proven a lot of that wrong. Manchester still has a long way to go though in multiple ways, but this is wonderful so far. Still can’t believe how far north it really is though. I always pictured it as been more in the middle of the country. LOL Definitely want to still prevent HS2 from getting that high though. It’s environmental and visual damage is just not worth it.

  63. I knew it was bad over in the US, but I didn't know it was truly THIS BAD. Shame on them. Can't believe it's actually taken this long to actually get on with it. Especially on public transport. I think they haven't covered this before though seeing as Americans are soooo obsessed with having their own cars over using the more efficient train or bus system. At least A LOT of money has been put aside on top of the rest for installing electric charging stations.

  67. THIS’S ABSOLUTELY EXTRAORDINARY!😲🤩❤️ how on earth haven’t I heard about this construction until now? I’m always trying to stay on top of this sort of thing. That interior space is absolutely amazing. I’m not a religious man, it almost looks like something that would be perceived by the gods themselves. And to think, there are so many other great marvels of architecture to be added around there as well. Including British and Japanese. No surprise really that the British design one looks the best though. The firm that designed it is quite famous in the industry. Love the fact that that one will have proper plants on it. They really need focus on these new pieces of infrastructure and architecture combining plant life as well as advanced technology. If the UAE really needs to be focusing on this more if they want to try and prevent an impact on the environment from there absolutely massive construction growth that’s been happening over the past three decades, plus to make sure they have enough of a backup plan once all their oil runs out and they have no choice but to switch to renewables.
