  1. Okay, no this is just getting seriously offensive to many nations heritage and history now. You can’t keep trying to teardown statues of absolutely everyone you don’t like. And it will start to get even more dicey if you try and go into old military histories. If that’s the case then will have to take down literally everything statue and monument ever made. This is absolutely unacceptable. Leave our soldiers alone. Plus, what on earth did they expect the elder to do? He’s called an ‘old’ elder for a reason you know!😓 they better dan will put it back after all this. If they didn’t want to have to do this in the first place though, then they could’ve just simply covered it up until all of this has passed and then reveal it again.

  2. Statues aren’t meant to always glorify people. They also are meant to help us simply remember them. And by the way, in our fast moving media world, I’m pretty sure that without a statue there no one would even know who he was or bother to look him up. That is why it is even more important than ever that all statues remain. Don’t take away the statue and put up a plaque, (where’s the beauty in that) keep it there and put a plaque alongside it to explain in greater detail what these people have done. It’s so obvious and will satisfy everyone, but the far left don’t want that. They always want their way or the highway. Never compromising on anything.

  3. Sorry but we in the rest the world do not agree. You should’ve at least added an extra plaque to the statue explain in greater detail demands impact on the region. Taking it away only shows that you are trying to hide the nations less happy history and all being wussies about owning up to the facts in an attempt to appease a minority who do not speak for the majority through a deep rooted and weak minded determination to not be hated by anyone group of people.
