  1. phiksit Yeah that’s true. Although usually they do that kind of thing is in the convenient and safe location of a dry dock. They’ll want to remove any valuable and/or potentially environmentally damaging materials from ship as well as cleaning it before thinking about sinking it.

  2. OH FOR FUCKS SAAAKE. And I thought I was keeping on top of this!😫 How the hell could I not have known this ship split in two A WEEK A GO! AAAAAAH And to think, some of us, including myself, actually thought they’d be able to prevent it doing this. At least they were able to get the rest of the oil out of the tanks before it happened. With any luck the forward 2/3 of the ship can become something of a natural reef when they tow it out to deeper waters so it can sink
