  3. They try and make us feel sad that their country's population is going down, but the news that any country's numbers are reducing just brings a smile to my face. Our numbers need to be going down ON AN EXPONENTIAL SCALE people. The only problem is that a country like Japan that is obsessed with the idea of success in the big cities, just can't imagine the idea of actually living away from all those small conveniences and moving away from everything a lot of them have known to the countryside. Something we in Britain though have no problem doing. For probably the majority of us, the ideal is nature, not the city. Or at least a healthy traditional blending of the two.
