  4. Incredible respect and full support to the chaps on the ordinance disposal team. They need a lot more help right now and all of the soldiers and volunteers are doing a great job in collecting up all the unexploded and unused munitions, but there still needs to be more professional teams out there. This is where the international community can help once again. We have a huge amount of experience in this from the last 20 years of working in collecting munitions and bond spills in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as in counterterrorism operations. So I think a lot of people in the west who have this experience could volunteer as well to help and I hope many do so in the days to come. We need you chaps.

  12. Yeah I've seen the horrific whole video online and you really can't call this artillery. More of a big gun to the face. I really don't know but I can only hope that they died quickly after the first hit. This was utterly savage and clearly a shot done out of panic from the Russian gunner early in the fighting.

Wonderful to see.👏🏻👏🏻 It is a shame that it is a Chinese brand model (purely because BYD gets CCP government subsidies nothing against the company itself) but at least for you chaps over in the US it was actually made in America (yeees, they’re doing that now and should be happy about it), and for now it is a much more sound financial decision which local governments are always being nagged at to do. These buses are just as efficient even if they are made in the US, so at least you’ve got more local jobs and these ones cost a lot less than any US alternative unless it is custom conversion job. I hope this happens to more fleets across your country, as well as here in the UK. We shouldn’t be attacking another country’s company because they are actually doing well (even if a lot of that is through the health of government subsidies) that is just petty smallmindedness and absolute hypocrisy. Rather than attacking another company because you perceived to be a threat, how about doing the same thing they are and actually give national companies the support they need (sometimes we need a little support to get off the ground), rather than just blocking another country’s company that you perceived to be a threat to maintain the status quo.

  17. I hope that this brave man’s body can be repatriated back to the US eventually. For now his body will just have to be put into storage as special exceptions cannot be made for individuals like this in terms of war.We all more in his sacrifice though and hope that his actions in doing so will encourage others to take up arms and do the right thing as well in the defence of Ukraine and by extension the rest of Europe and democracy. I just hope though that the newer armoured vehicles and advanced weapons can get to these frontline positions soon where they are needed to make sure more towns do not fall. The Ukrainians are putting on a brilliant defence, but they need the heavy and advanced equipment down there ASAP once their training has completed so they can drive the Russians BACK. Slava Ukraine

  19. He loved his family but clearly knew it was the right thing to do, because by extension in helping Ukraine helps to protect all of democracy including the US. You cannot always just sit on the sidelines because you have a family when you physically know you can do something and you have the training to make it possible. Plus he knows that either way she would be okay on her own. She was not in the direct firing line, but other people are and he had the power to do so. In him going to Ukraine, who knows how many lives him and his unit have saved.

  21. That’s the thing though. Are we saying then we would only ever go and defend our own country or others if we were actually forced to? Sometimes many know that their responsibility to help others outweighs just sitting on the sidelines when you know either way your family would be okay. Plenty as we have seen, I’m not heading through being forced but because they know it is just the right thing to do. It’s better we live with that and possibly die trying than not trying at all and having to live with that. It kills you from within so we have to respect their decision.

  22. Totally. The US, let alone here in Europe definitely need more small compact EV like this. It’s what we are wanting most of all, yet there just doesn’t seem to be this realisation at the government or corporate level. The advanced majority of us don’t care about tons of flashy interior features. Just a good interface radio system (still need to make sure they are compatible with our smart devices after all, lol) and an efficient battery is all we really want.

  23.  @benben6054 That is true for now, especially as there isn’t as much of a huge financial incentive right now to have the best batteries in less famous brand model buses versus cars, but it will continue to go down as the desire from the public and local governments go up. plus, you are only thinking about the buying price, as so many people do. Once you’ve actually bought them so long as you manage your finances carefully, it will eventually save you so much in terms of running costs and fuel use which means eventually you will start being in the green again (pun not intended). If you aren’t, then you either didn’t manage your finances correctly from the start (something which is definitely prevalent over in the US), which can happen in many different areas not just going Green, or they didn’t spend correctly after making the purchases on other items, thinking it’d all be ok now with that temporary high. Either way so long as things are don’t correctly after getting electrified vehicles, schools and other businesses should be much better off in the long-term rather than just the short term.

  26. It is a pretty clear message. And I'm pretty sure that tanks in Europe have been getting way to unnecessarily expensive in the first place. It's just the contractors who make the parts driving the costs up. The UK is suffering from this MASSIVELY. You should see what is happening right now with our current tanks as we transition to the future Challenger 3.

I think frankly the best would be if Boris was the head to Ukraine again to see more of what has happened in other areas, and eventually for the Queen herself to visit. I think it would be a HUUUGE moral boost and a show of total support for Ukraine and the biggest slap possible short of a bomb to Russia.

  32.  @PistonAvatarGuy Ok you are wrong on two fronts there. firstly, you can’t require your government to always buy your own nations cars absolutely. You should try and aim for that reasonably first, but if there are no viable financial options and of course you should go for a foreign one. Otherwise you are literally wasting tons of money that of course the public won’t be happy with you doing. And secondly, buses absolutely, waste tons of fuel and loads of emissions. They literally highlighted that in this editorial. Vehicles that are sitting idle but still running are wasting loads of fuel, creasing a lot of dangerous emissions and buses along with ambulances and sometimes police vehicles along with long hauling vehicles are the biggest contributors to this. They’ve definitely made the right choice here. It’s not BYD’s fault that they are the most financially viable right now. They aren’t listening to your private conversations through these vehicles, so until the US government gets its act together and actually helps to subsidise electric companies, Chinese firms are the real only option and people shouldn’t be chastised for this.

  35. Here here. Boeing is a disaster in the industry of aviation AND SPACE now, full stop. these legacy companies are just too dragged down in their old ways. They can’t advance any more. It’s time for them to liquidate some of their assets and move them over to the new boys on the block with more flexibility and fresh ideas to actually get things done. The government needs to be sending the money their way, rather than being fixated on other companies that have such a massive grip and influence over politicians over in the US.
