  1. Once again, you shouldn’t just pen England as Britain when you say the words ‘jolly old England’ (I am English BTW). Again that insults the whole of the UK when, although English is obviously the standard across the whole of Britain, England is not Britain. We are one part of a greater hole. This is indeed another Fox channel problem. And yes, we indeed still stick by the ‘British’ pronunciation of al-u-minium. It just sounds and works a lot better. The American pronunciation just sounds so wrong to the ear and sounds if you are trying to say it is ‘luminescent’. I truly hope that in movies to come that are not set in the US, the US pronunciation just isn’t allowed. It cannot be allowed to perpetuate any further.
