Thank you so very much for sharing your story to the world. That is quite amazing. I can only imagine that the last five years have flown by as if it were a dream or something!? It’s felt like that way for me at university anyway. I too have also been considering the JET program. It seems like a really good way of being able to get into Japan as well as possibly learning some more Japanese and getting a further job over there along the way. The only problem is that I’m not really qualified to do teaching and I really don’t feel like in my heart that is how I want to be spending my time over there rather than learning the language and go into a career that best suits me. Also Japan’s long working hours are quite prevalent in the careers I would most likely be suited to, so that will be a huge stab in the heart really. I still truly hope to be able to visit someday, and perhaps get a career that will suit me best and perhaps even move there for a few years. Just visiting once would never satisfy me. These videos as well by Chris have been a great eye-opener into Japanese culture and so many locations. It has inspired me to add money to my list places to visit in the country and I only hope I can have an experience there as rich as yours has been someday.
