  1. I totally agree. The house clearly has a lot of charms and I’m betting was loved for a long time by its previous owner. Although the asking price is totally too high which is a surprise considering the house prices of old houses in Japan, it totally looks doable and I’m betting a lot of people with enough skills would be willing to take on the task of renovating it themselves. It feels like Japan is really trying to push itself into a corner here and doesn’t know how to get out, so it really seems like people in the west and those with the money on the outside of the only real solution to help fix this.
