Totally. I just hope next (or better yet at the same time without the Russians knowing) they will train them on and give them actual 'modern' German tanks. If not those then definitely Challenger 2s from the UK. Either tank would kick some serious Russian ass over there as a super fast speed.

Which country are you in then? Some are here apparently in the UK training on the Mastiff armoured vehicle types and tracked armoured equipment and they are also in Slovenia I think on top of the Americans on the 155mm Howitzers and in the Czech Republic. I think Poland is just sending the T-72/80s straight to Ukraine.

Well the Ukrainians will apparently be heading to Germany to learn how to use them so hopefully they can make sure they are all ok during this time and put them all through their pacing.

@_mysilentblue2227 Yeah, they're unfortunately next on the list really. Their own actions speak volumes. The big question is, will we just wait again for them to actually attack while they continue to slowly creep along taking and taking and listening to no one (seriously they are really heading for collapse in one way or another), or will aaaall of us be the ones to make the first move?

This is something Ukrainian workers will have to focus on repairing ASAP on a rotating basis. I think really they should also be asking for outside help so the workers can get backup and won't be so stretched thin in the areas needed. We need to keep the supply lines open otherwise the momentum will swing towards the Russians like it did for Ukraine when they did the same thing. Except Ukraine targeted the roads. They couldn't really risk hitting the railways with the limited ammo they had until now. Now they are hitting more Russian targets close to home thank goodness. But still, we neeeed to be sending LONG RANGE surface-to-air missile so they can take more Russian missile and jets out of the sky, which is why we neeeed to be giving them this RIGHT NOW and getting everything into the country, even if that means more volunteers to actually 'drive the damn stuff' across Ukraine to where it is needed themselves.

@tobiwan001 Yeah, if all of this surplus stuff was actually active in Ukraine and fully trained with the forces NOW, Russia wouldn't stand a single chance.

@tobiwan001 To true. Although the Soviets are nothing to be really proud of either.

Yeah, although the next level will actually be heavier weapons including the god damn surface to air missiles SO THEY CAN ACTUALLY KEEP THEIR PEOPLE SAFE AND FIGHT BACK HAAARD. Also 'modern tank' and more drone of all types. But these vehicles from Germany (which are close to a modern tank but not technically) are a really good first step for the country. Hope this increases both for training of the equipment and heavy supplies ASAP.

@pregnantyellowfish Yeah I wouldn't wanna mix with that combination.

It is truly so great to hear this finally coming from the German officials. This shift has been a long time coming after weeeeks of indecisiveness. Sure, Germany is a country that is quite polarised both inside and out about this kind of thing after WW2, but Germany needs to realise now that it has obligations now to join the rest of the world in the same actions that we know they are capable of. Germany is full of so much potential when free from the constraint of Russian gas and oil, they just need to not be so scared about it and know that they 'do have friend' who will help them. Germany...Britain is your friend. We may rip into you sometimes for humour, but we truly care about you and we want Germany to help in this war as much as possible like the US and the UK once more production of equipment can be done to be shipped over to Ukraine. And if anything goes wrong, your allies will have your back. We all need to work together to defeat Putin's Russia and create 'true change' over there, and no longer be so scared of the unknown, when what we do know is and will happen if we do 'nothing' will be way worse.

About damn time really. It feels really like this war is giving aaaall this equipment from all over the old and new the chance to FINALLY DO what it was actually meant for.

@alexrock3162 Although this German vehicle was actually taken out of service about a decade ago...so 2012s. It may have come into service a long to ago, but not as old as the Russian stuff and the fact that GERMANY of all countries kept them for so long can definitely reassure us, that they totally have received some good upgrades over the decades that these ones will have, that the common Russia soldier wooon't see coming.

Gary Baldi Too true, it's just now finally reaching the inevitable final faze. Apparently, until recently, there were more Russian spies here in the UK than there were during the height of the Cold War spy days. Pause for thought.
