It’s sad but it also does seem rather true for a large amount.

It is just so sad that the war had to be ended with such an absolutely dire cost. Everytime I think about it it just breaks my heart. I don’t think any of us outside of Japan can ever truly understand how it must feel to lose in this way and have to live with what had happened to your country. Especially with many of the population in fact still being alive from back then. A lot more than in Britain today sadly. And yes, I do believe that the war could’ve been won with less lives lost without the nuclear weapons. But at least one good thing did come out of this horror. And that was the clear evidence of what a nuclear weapon could do in a war, and the subsequent ceasing of large world wars for over 70 years to this day. Mutually assured destruction just isn’t worth it. We will remember them. All of them, on all sides.

InCo I believe to an extent you are both right and wrong. Some diversity is always good, but too much can completely dilute any semblance of a collective direction in which a country wishes to go into as a people. I do believe, that we have lost our direction.
