Here here. This is completely unwarranted damage and rioting that makes absolutely no sense. These people have gone bloody insane or something. Clearly a bunch of teenagers who are taking advantage of the reduced restrictions after being so stringently in lockdown for so long and I’m betting a lot of them are drunk. That’s the only reason I can think of. Hardly the result of a single vigil for something that wasn’t the polices fault.

It’s definitely been some form of combination between drunk, entitlement and having absolutely nothing else to do. Absolute scum the whole lot of them.

OK, WHAAAAT THE HEEELL IS GOING ON?🤯😱 WHY THE HELL ARE THEY DOING THIS? Let’s make something no sense. I’ve never seen violence like this in Wales. At least not for a very long time. Are these teenagers simply just acting up because they’ve been in lockdown for so long and they can finally stretch their legs or something and gotten waaay out of control, or was there some kind of event that spurred them up like this? Absolutely appalling scenes and I think everyone can agree that they deserved to have been smashed down by the police here. The police were woefully unprepared for this, but they definitely shouldn’t have a treated the way they did. That’s only going to encourage them now. They need to come down HARD on these people, and tell them fully whose Streets these belong to. The public, not thugs.

I’d imagine they will be calling a lot of them in now. Maybe not necessarily for in case there is another riot, as I imagine these scumbags have realised they won’t be able to get away with this a second time, but the police could use it to help increase their force for a short while so they can hunt down and arrest as many of these idiots as possible.

Totally. Tracksuits…the symbol of a thug.

The law and justice system is far too soft on teenagers these days. Yes, continue to give them the care they need once they are in whatever system is required, but when it comes to the streets, we need to be prepared to take more physical action against teens. Not with guns, but with greater overwhelming force. We all know that the police forces have been reduced far too much now, and they are due for a radical expansion.

@oldskoolrools3087 This is exactly why I actually do want the new police bill to come into affect. People keep going on about it all the time, but if we don’t have more stuff like that, we are going to continue to see horrific scenes like these.

@oldskoolrools3087 Please tell your daughter that the vast majority of us support her and all of her colleagues. I also have a relative in a branch of the police force and wholeheartedly support them in their continuing efforts to fight against scum like these. The level of stress they go through is completely unfair and they don’t deserve all the hate they get from certain types of people in the British public WHEN WE KNOW WE CAN STOP IT. They seem to forget that we are not the same as those in the US. Both civilian, military, and emergency services.

@SamuelBlack84 I have no idea what street you are walking on mate, but I’ve never felt any of that when I go out and about. You must seriously be suffering with extreme stress right now. You might want to go to your local GP about it and they could help you.

@Kate-fg4rx Now that’s like a freaking great idea. Obviously non-lead-based and can be washed off the streets afterwards, otherwise they are going to get in trouble by local authorities, but it would be great for the police and locals to be able to track these scum after they return home. They could certainly put a notice out to all locals, or at least those who have children so they can identify if they come back with blue paint or not.
2
Totally. These people don’t seem to realise how good they’ve got it these days. Absolutely unnecessary entitlement.

@SubjectiveFunny I should reeeeally hope so. That is of course of the video quality is good enough. It’s not exactly as clear as the capital riot attack in America on the 6th of January. Will be hard to make out some of the faces, but they definitely need to prosecute as many as possible for this. They need to know that they cannot just go and do stuff like this and get away scot-free. THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES.
