  1. We reeeeally can’t be sure what to believe they have been in the hands of the Russians. Especially as how many of us would actually open the request for us to be transferred in exchange for the man that they are talking about. A person that Ukraine can’t afford to lose right now after having captured him. I want our boys to be safe, but this exchange might not be worth it. It’s horrible to say, but there are pros and cons that have to be weighed here.😔

  2. He has basically dual citizenship. And if you are born on British soil you are still very much in all of our hearts a Briton. He did the right thing by volunteering and clearly has done a good job these last couple of years and we need to do our part by trying to get both of them home safe.

That is true, although Russia did say by this stage in the fight of Mariupol that they would just count them all as basically Ukrainian soldiers (surrender or die even before the final stand that is still going on) so in that they might get lucky and they were just singled out for their nationality. Fingers crossed at least.
