Comments by "" (@danielwhyatt3278) on "Could Royal Navy minehunters be used to help clear a sea channel for Ukrainian grain exports?" video.
Well that’s a very selfish thing to say. We are looking for thanks. It’s just the right thing to do.

Well certainly through the channel controlled by Turkey. There is another waterway that could be used which hopefully is on the table to allow the two ships that have been given to Ukraine to get there.

We are talking about sending our own lads to go in yet. That would mean involvement in the war directly, even if we weren’t firing on Russians. We are training Ukrainian cruise on how to operate them as two have already been sold to Ukraine last year and training is currently underway in British waters. It clearly shows then that they are not going to wait so they will have to use another waterway if possible to get them into the Black Sea.

Perhaps this is part of some sort of interconnected agreement like the others happening across Europe so as to allow the ships to cross into the Black Sea. If Turkey store fused though then I think there is still one other waterway that can be used, even if it is slower. I believe Ukraine is currently using that one (even though it is so slow) in order to export some of its grain through Europe away from the dangers of Russian laid mines and warships.

Yes I think it’s trying to give across a mixed signal on purpose to not give it away straight away as to when the ships will arrive in Ukrainian waters. It feels clear that Ukraine will be doing mine clearing before the war is over as they cannot allow those still in the water from Russia to remain there. The main thing is using another waterway which is less conventional in order to get into the Black Sea rather than the one controlled by Turkey.
