I’ve been basically out of proper employment for a year now and actually getting someone to even call me back (when they clearly said THEY WOULD) after an interview to give me the result, ‘let alone a freaking trial shift’ has been a nightmare.😩 UC (WITH ‘PIP’) just about covers things but that’s it and STILL need help from parents sometimes to fill in the gaps. I just want to get into work now that I’m a Uni graduate even just over 20+ hours would do but so far NOTHING. a complete nightmare.

  4. It’s at least great to see that FIIIINALLY, the Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft gun vehicles from Germany are in Ukraine. Germany promised him a long time ago now and really should’ve been in Ukraine by August but it’s good to see they are finally there and actually helping to make a difference. But of course, these guys have no choice. If they want freedom from the Junta again, and to restore democracy, it must be done. I support all of them in the ongoing fight and wish all of them the best of lucky. Fight, fight with your minds and hearts, and one way or another, you will be victorious. I truly believe this will be achieved.

  12. Here here. Operating on commands from the very top and not being able to work as a cohesive group down at the bottom of the ranks is a Russian thing. Ukrainian troops have been trained by US, UK and other Western armies to be able to work independently in smaller units so they actually know what to do so now they would expect volunteers to be able to do the same now.

Do you want to be able to claim asylum in the UK. You have to do it through legal channels. Not just by crossing the English Channel. We know the speaker desperate, but in the end you don’t know who could be sneaking in with them and with this many people trying to come in it isn’t sustainable no matter how much we wish to help individuals. I feel like a lot of this work now, can be put down to the great new book on Britain’s lost rainforests, that has attracted so much public attention to finally be aware of what we have lost over such a long period of time. It’s opened our eyes, even to those who really should’ve known better, and now, we are finally acting. It’s only one small step, but it’s one in the right direction. We just need now in the coming weeks and months for them to actually clearly show how they are going to do it, to make sure the reforesting is done quickly while still making sure it will grow back as well as it can without domestic animal interference and farmers can be compensated. It’s time, for Britain’s rainforests to return.

  17. I actually want to keep some of the hereditary Lords. It’s a part of our tradition and seems to have served us pretty damn well. It feels refreshing sometimes to not have to worry about who was elected by who and they are actually still able to be there with their personal experience in life. Talking to nothing but party politicians has got to be so tiring. We don’t exactly need to become completely like America. In fact that would actually make me sick to my stomach. Also, I know Channel 4 likes to be more biased than many of the other channels, but this one was ‘openly insulting and hostile’ in its language towards the House of Lords and it was quite uncomfortable to say the least. Certainly not something we need in today’s news, which are already very openly more biased than they should be for just ‘one side’.

I think it’s really all down to the new hit book Britain’s Lost Rainforests. it’s compilation of information and studies ever since lockdown have highlighted it in a way that I don’t really think it’s been done properly before. We truly did ones have rainforests. Just different to those in the rest of the world due to the foliage difference.They would’ve been just as magnificent, and although they will never look the same, they can still be as great as they once were, if we allow them to be. Just this time in a different shape and area as they grow out.

  23. ULEZs. Love them. WE NEED THEM, whether some people like them or not. Those people saying it’s a money grab are only half right. Yes, it will get more money from the taxpayers, but it’s not going to be continuous profits. When people truly switch over to EV is in public transport, the amount of money coming in is predicted to massively plummet after or within the first five years. This money can be used and is intended to be used to help install more charging points and other forms of green infrastructure, that people in London have been begging for in the first place. And to ‘those who say they can’t afford an electric car’… Well, can you even afford a petrol/diesel car that’s new to begin with anyway? How is this any different? You are just making excuses. At least now you will actually be investing is something that is worth investing in and won’t pollute the environment long term or your lungs, and will probably be better quality than what you were already driving. Sorry, but not sorry. Sacrifices have to be made, but in the end, this one will actually be something you will not regret in the long-term, once you make that leap.

  24. Yeah, I very much doubt it would’ve been started right now with the current tensions and so much of Russia’s efforts being diverted to the war. They’ve come this far now that they can’t really stop it. It would be a real disaster if this one also failed to land like the Indian wondered. Although honestly, it’s also really disappointing that India is focusing so much on space when they have such rampant poverty.

It’s a bit annoying really because some groups in France are training individuals basic military tactics for training, arms usage and manoeuverability, but I haven’t heard about any such thing happening in the UK. If people intend to head over to Ukraine then they should really be groups willing to train people in the UK to give them a Headstart on possible training that could save their lives. I for one would sign up in an instant if I knew there was one but every time I try to search for them it always just goes down a rabbit hole of Internet sites that don’t lead to anything concrete that are even anywhere near me.

  28. It’s meant to put people off using combustion vehicles as much as possible within these areas, obviously. It’s also meant to act more as an incentive to people who are being too lazy or stubborn and actually finally transition over to NEV. There are so many vehicle options out there now, with many financial and package deals now to make these more affordable or monthly payments that people just haven’t bothered looking up relying on previous assumptions. The money raised will very much go down most likely within the first 5 years according to even the governments own predictions as the eligible vehicles to be charged will go down. The money used is intended to pay for new charging points, as well as more clean infrastructure areas to make it easier for even more electric vehicles and public transport to access areas of the cities.

  32. I couldn't agree more. We need the call to go out again for more volunteers, and this time for more currently employed doctors and nurses as well as field medics to answer the call. The demand is everywhere, and they don't even have to be on the front lines, yet they could make such a huge difference to soooo many people in a way we can't even imagine long term yet. We need this to happen NOW, and if they need money to make it happen, then so be it. The international communities financial aid can help with that to.

  37. I’ve got to say overall, it seems like Boris‘s trip to India has been pretty successful. This is in spite of what seems to be happening in parliament right now. Considering what is happening though in Ukraine, I really do feel like it’s a party gate situation is getting way out of control. We should probably try and put it on the back burner until quite frankly the war in Ukraine looks like it is actually going to be a victory for the home team. Otherwise this whole government thing is just turning into an unnecessary distraction.

People fighting in the Ukrainian foreign Legion are not paid and those who are paid are doing so via donations online to get equipment or other supplies they need. Lizz Truss has no blood on her hands. People would’ve done so anyway and I fully support everyone who has done so. If anything we need for far more to go right now in order to make a difference if they can be trained up enough before and after they go into fight. Of course it would be even better if we can get more weapons, ammunition and long-range artillery and drones to help. Many people are bound to be disjointed if this was their first experience of any kind of combat, but it is surprising how many veterans are still complaining about it when they themselves, even though they fought against terrorists in very dry countries, have never actually fought in a war between two countries where many people charging or moving on mass as an enemy is the norm. These aren’t terrorists in just one building where you move in a sort of swat manner where you surround the building and order in an airstrike by a military drone this is real war where unfortunately hundreds of people dying and sometimes a weekly basis is completely normal and we have forgotten that through decades of peace in Europe and only being involved in regional conflicts. If we had fighters from the Vietnam days involved in this war they would actually understand what was goingOwn and would be more prepared for it. In a wall like this, you should consider yourself grateful for what you have got considering how fast the Legion has been organised. Plus, like most cases during peacetime, you hear more about the bad things that happen than about the good things that happened behind closed doors that maintain the wobbly piece we have decade after decade. The bad things that happened around the world scream a lot louder than the good as they are not always right in your face. People who are unsatisfied or have a worse time at things generally stand out more from the crowd if they are not among the norm, so as you have said with your cousin, he’s probably one among hundreds or thousands that are just accepting this is the kind of thing to expect from a war between nations, which makes sense, while those who aren’t prepared to accept that are going to stamp their feet more.

Especially as many of these people who are complaining, who are only a few tiny voices among the thousands who have headed over to Ukraine, headed over in the first few days or weeks of the foreign Legion even been created, so what did they expect. Plus it’s also different unit between unit depending on who got the equipment first and where they are positioned in the country. This divide was inevitable unless you can sign up with some groups to have a Quitman shipped to you directly, which many have done both for native Ukrainians and foreign fighters who have gotten many pieces of kit sent to them for free.

  56. Yeah I reeeally hope the Leopard training finishes first as the first tanks have already arrived in Ukraine the week before last on the Friday. All they need now is the fighting crews, that is if they aren't already there is secret. I suuure hope that is the case. Also the Challenger 2 training will be done at the end of March and I'd imagine some will be arriving in Ukraine about the same time so the eager crews can get right at it while it's all completely fresh in their heads.   72. I have course agree. I’m on my second year of university now so will be almost a year since lockdown happened and I made the transition to learning online. Thought things would change in my second year, and for about a month and a half they had, but now it’s right back to where we started but was slightly better planning. It’s not worth £9250. We need to have at least half of our money refunded. That also goes for our maintenance loans as well, seeing as obviously the vast majority of us are not even staying at our flats or uni accommodation. This is not just a student responsibility now, this is a governmental responsibility to do what is right. It wouldn’t even require any handling of money. Just digitally reset the numbers nationwide for all UK students to half, and the universities will just have to accept that. The universities are not going to get our money for this.

  77. We neeeed to get the newer heavy equipment from the West to Bakhmut no matter what. The training on the on the Leopard 2's NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED. I mean the first of them 'already arrived in Ukraine the week before last'! They SURELY should've made it to the city BY NOW. :( That or that's just so they arrive ahead of the training so the Ukrainian crews can get going 'straight away', and this just gives more time for the tanks to be stationed on the ground where they'll be calling home now and for the new Ukrainian maintanance crews to get even more familiar with them and what'll be needed once they head out across Ukrainian terrain instead. I that is the case, then I suuure hope so. The Challies should be ready to go apparently by the end of March, and that should mean that they'll be going there at the same time the training completes. Although 'why' this's being done differently to the Leopards I'm not sure. THAT, or Ukrainian crews 'already have completed their training' on the Leopards in secret, and the crews are already heading for the lines under cover to attack at the same time as Bakhmut.   88. Not particularly. I mean, what exactly do you expect the people to do in the mean time while they don’t have homes? The rebuilding needs to happen partially while the war is still going on before it can really ramp up in the fully destroyed areas. Otherwise, many people will be out of a home, and therefore less likely to be able to work in the areas they need or be stuck in other countries as refugees. For everybody’s benefit, a lot of the reconstruction needs to still happen now.

  93. Oh definitely agree. Brazil is not very great with finances so you can trust that they haven’t got enough money in reserve to reforest everything that was destroyed. At least over the last 20 years anyway.With the rampant over population, farming and wanton destruction, you can trust that the area needed to be re-forested would already be moved into by many humans. But we will just have to do the best we can, even if some people don’t like it.

At the end of the day, the environment (sorry if some people here can’t accept this fact) is more important than basically any other policy in the end. I’ve just got to hope that it will be a domino effect and the Tory party will implement even more strict green policies that they actually do commit to in order to bring people back to their side in the distant future after a most likely Labour win this next election. Boy, never thought I’d say that until now.

It would make sense that if it was a three year contract in fact then you would actually be paid for it. After all if it was just three months then people might just be popping in to do a short tour and a little bit of money, but if you are doing three long years then they can know that the person is going to be sticking to the role and is worthy of being paid for it.

There are different types of hydrogen that have different colours associated to them for the way in which they are created. Blue hydrogen is one form but the most desired one is green hydrogen, which is used by extracting hydrogen from water using green sources.

I still appreciate all of those who have gone over to fight and I myself hope to be able to head over to Ukraine in the coming months to volunteer for perhaps delivering necessary aid or perhaps military equipment. There are bound to be many people who are disgruntled with the actual experience of a real war that we haven’t had in Europe for many decades, so it makes sense that even the professionals would be disjointed and experiencing something they haven’t experienced before that is frankly the norm for an International war. However these voices are only a few of the many thousands who have headed over, so we will probably get a full of picture only after the war is nearing its end.
