@jammiedodger629 And who told you that BS?

I honestly couldn’t tell if you were joking or not, but considering some of the ridiculous statements from other people on this comment section, I don’t think you are. This is an absolute disaster for the planet, let alone the UK and its people. This would basically benefit a few peoples jobs but still limit them from growth and make our health continue to suffer in the long run. We don’t need this anymore. We can literally now make steel with hydrogen and the first plants that run on Green hydrogen have opened up on mainland Europe (THIS YEAR IN FACT) and there are plans to expand. The UK could do this as well and we could actually be the leaders in steel again THE RIGHT WAY. Instead, this isn’t going to help in the slightest and it’s going to make us a pariah and embarrassment around the world. If you actually wanna be on the right side of history Jason you need to get these facts straight and help with the protests and government groups who actually want to prevent this horror from coming to pass.

Except now, we are actually capable of making steel without coal. Literally. We actually are capable of doing that now.

Uuuuum! have you seriously not heard of hydrogen before!?🤨 how old are you exactly? You do realise right we can use hydrogen now to make steel. The first plants have already opened up in Europe and we have an opportunity in the coming years to try and lead in Europe in the next steel innovation area, but instead we are going back to Cole! more specifically, we can use green hydrogen, for those who make that bullshit claim the hydrogen is worse. There are different types of hydrogen that have different colours associated to them for the way in which they are created. Blue hydrogen is one form but the most desired one is green hydrogen, which is used by extracting hydrogen from water using green sources.

That is why we need to make sure this new mine opening doesn’t happen no matter what, even if it means taking drastic action. We need to show the world that not only our government level, but also the people at Shio responsible. And if not the government, then the people can be even more responsible by setting an example that the government fails to do. We need to make sure that new coal and all existing coal never happens again.

@mrmrgaming Are you so completely insane? What you’re talking about sounds like something from someone many decades ago. Something that needs to be stuffed in the past. I can’t think honestly of any sane person who is employed or not would actually want the planet to suffer further in exchange for getting a basic menial labour job. That’s just going to make them physically suffer in the long run, never really get them anywhere and is going to hurt the planet or make them a pariah. That makes no sense.

We don’t need coal.. That’s what is so insane. Even in the metallurgy process we can actually use new techniques now that don’t require coal to be introduced. It’s only backwards thinking people who only want to do what they can understand in their tiny brains that are making this decision. We need to prevent this new coal mine from opening the matter what. Even the mer symbol of it opening is a disaster for our negotiations on preventing climate change around the world. Even if it means somebody taking drastic action, I will approve it if it means that I’m stopping this.

@Curmudgeonist It all depends on balance. However, we can still power it with green hydrogen if we wanted to.

@draunt7 Here here. Why can’t some people see that.
