  2. My father knew some chaps who took part in it when he was in the troop. He was naturally really disappointed when such a long tradition had been brought to an end. They just didn’t find it as popular with all the other competitions that were going on so they cancelled it and boosted up the other events that happen throughout the year. It really is still a shame though and there is a lot of talk about bringing it back. You are right though about struggling to focus on each individual specific person. It’s not really about the individual. Yes, we you trained to generally be able to work independently but more so cooperating as part of a larger collective whole to achieve the ultimate goal. That is something you must never forget when being in the Armed Forces, and here is the perfect example of it.
