I couldn’t agree more.I’m just shocked that according to this report, out of the 6000 people recorded so far as having volunteered in the US, only about 100 of them have been approved. That feels like an absolutely shocking margin that I didn’t see coming. I would’ve thought that the number would be much higher, as it was apparently reported that they were probably several hundred American volunteers fighting in Ukraine. It makes me wonder why the margin is so small or whether it is just simply taking that long to do process them, which feels unlikely. Also whether the same problem is happening for any British volunteers here in the UK. It’s been reported that definitely over 1000 Britons have applied and several have already been seen heading over and are now fighting in Ukraine, but this report makes me wonder how many people have in fact been turned away. I’m seriously considering volunteering either to fight or help transport aid or supplies in the coming weeks or months and a little concerned that there might be more barriers than I was expecting to get there, but it does seem like there are still plenty of options available that could help me in my effort to join up with other groups who are wanting to help directly over there in terms of supplies and transport.
