Sorry India, but we are returning the diamond. Things move around, and times change. Things are not permanent. If we kept moving everything around him back to where they allegedly came from, by that logic then every museum in the world to be empty. I’m by the same logic, no nation would be allowed to have another piece of territory that was separated from it by body of water. The diamond is a part of Britain now and a part of our own culture, legacy and Royal family and we aren’t giving it up. it is just too important to us now and to give us our would be probably the last straw in our tolerance in order to make people like us. You cannot just buy your love from others and once you give an arm people will take a leg. Eventually you have to draw the line somewhere, the Kohinoor diamond is one of them. I’m really sorry India, but that’s just how it is. You’d feel the same way, so this is where we are drawing the line.
