Totally. Literally make a tombstone with our ashes included. Have you name inscribed on it and then put it with many others. Preferably in a protected waters area to discourage illegal fishing and expand the areas, whether the more selfish fishing fleets like it or not.

In some ways yes, but it is still very much a worthwhile attempt.

Yeah, it'd certainly give you a lot more respect for what we put in the ocean as well. Like you'd want to go and throw a plastic bottle or human sewerage into the very thing your beloved relative was in.

I'd be tooootally onboard with that. It would certainly discourage people from cutting them down that's for sure.

Why would it start moving?

This is a brilliant project. They said though that they started doing this about 20 YEARS AGO! So how on earth have I not heard about this until now? Not a single piece of publicity for outside of the US. We should, like he said, be doing this everywhere but we aren't. I would totally be onboard with having my remains turned into a corral reef block. That or be used to help a tree grow above my environmentally friendly grave. These would certainly be muuuch cheaper options for everyone. Especially for those poor suckers over in the US. What we 'need to absolutely do though', above all else is try and keep the atmospheric and water temperatures from increasing 'much more', overwise we're screwed, along with soo much else.

@Lyonessi True, but we still bloody well need them for the ever-decreasing wildlife to live in and as oxygen scrubbers you know!
