@protonneutron9046 They would have to train on them but it would be easier to learn how to use another tank rather than an entirely new fighter jet. Considering how long the war has been going on now they could’ve easily by this point given a lot of them a crash course on how to use their tanks and had them over there already. You’ll be surprised how determined somebody is to learn when your country is on the line.

This is definitely why we need to keep the pressure on our countries to do the right thing no matter what. Most of all to actually get the more advanced thanks into Ukraine to actually help in the fight. People keep saying that they will need to be trained on them. Well, it’s been well over a month and anyone who has previous experience working with thanks could easily be given a crash course within that time on how to properly use them, and people can be very well motivated when the country is at stake. We can’t keep peddling the same nonsense forever. Plus Poland needs to get over his fear of retaliation from Putin over the MiG-29 fighters. They have them RIGHT NOW. All they have to do is have the courage to send them over or let the Ukrainians cross the border and fly or drive them back themselves.

That does seem to be the case. Many weapons still need to be filtered through to the individual units and not all of them can be precisely located at every one time and they need to make sure that the deliveries of weapons do not fall into the hands of the Russians. Many independent groups have been delivering supplies to individual specific units since the war started and even some as far back as 2014. Many deliveries happening from outside of the country and directly driving to where they are needed. Many of them include drones, some standard helmets and camo and vest gear. Some of them also include body armour but not all of them can get ballistic Great helmets as most of them would have to be military secondhand and weapons like rifles and explosives are basically non-existent unless they are from individual owners who wish to donate them. As a result getting whole packs of gear including ballistic grade helmets and up-to-date weapons and bullet-proof fest is very hard. Ukrainians are even making metal plate custom plates to go in bullet proof vests but this still isn’t enough. The UK has sent over 84,000 British Army helmets which should fill the gap, but it still is up to them now and individual volunteers to get them to where they are needed. I just hope it can all filter down the line in time.

Exactly. The US would be acting 100% differently and so would Poland and Germany if the shoe was on the other foot.

@sushi_wolf Actually British also helped a lot against Japan.

I won hundred percent agree. It’s the same for technology or medicine. It’s not inherently one or the other. It’s how you use it that matters. No weapon is specifically one or the other. A weapon becomes offensive or defensive depending on whether somebody is walking backwards, standing still or moving forwards. That is it. It doesn’t matter how big the thing might be. At least with the fighters and more advanced tanks they can actually stand more of a chance. This isn’t about calculations just here, genuine lives on the line and better armour and long-range tactical weapons are going to be key.

I really do you believe the US could give this much considering the massive military industrial complex the country has. If the US and other countries refuse to directly fight themselves, then what on earth is the point of posturing with all these highly effective weapons in the first place. It is just a waste. All of us can just make more of these weapons, Ukraine can’t right now. We need to get this stuff over there ASAP.
