  2. You do realise that was an incredibly long time ago right? That’s not the norm at all today. And besides, that was just simply when they first met, and it’s hardly anything to sniff at when people still get married to people sometimes decades apart in age to this day.

  4.  @MetallicReg  May have been the case for some mainland European households, but is far from the norm in British Royal history at all. I don’t know why people keep going on about this when it is simply not true. Marrying cousins is completely allowed and it’s still legal in the vast majority of countries in the world.
