This is absolutely great news indeed. I hope the UK will be helping with this as well, which I have no doubt. Hope we can collect as many shells and rounds of ammunition as possible to get them into Ukraine ASAP.

Here here. especially here in the UK, let alone the rest of Europe. We need to be able to actually bloody well support ourselves. First get them to Ukraine, and eventually have a surplus back to pre-existing numbers and then multiply that multiple times.

Oh absolutely. We are near the end of March now and that is when the Ukrainian crews will be probably returning to Ukraine to start using the Leopard 2s tanks, and the crews training in the UK and Germany on the Challenger 2 tanks will be finished at the end of March. they will be getting ready for the spring offensive and the critically need ammunition right now, but at the very least by next month for the very big deliveries outside of the ones that are currently arriving from Europe and the US. It will be critical while in the US, followed by here in the UK and the rest of mainland Europe, the manufacturing facilities can continue expanding their factory footprints to start manufacturing to meet demand.

This is the problem that is very much present in the US. Unfortunately, it is the case because a lot of the companies started gaining too much power and started buying up their competitors or the other ones couldn’t keep up with development. Overall, though, it was simply a case of complacency and preference over some companies, leading to lack of diversity within the sector. As a result, a lot of weapons or even just some parts are made by one or at most three companies. This means that they can’t keep up with the demand anymore.The consolidation of companies being bought up and merged into others started a lot more in the 90s and now this is the end result. We can only hope now this will start to happen in reverse.
