Uuuuum, just because you’re going back to what you were once ruled by, doesn’t mean it’s going to be better. Britain did a lot better job in Hong Kong than China did. And I think they would much prefer to be ruled over by democracy in any sense from a lot of other countries then a single Communist dictatorship. And Hong Kong can go it alone anyway. They would be fine.

There’s a difference between staying and dying or living to fight another day. At least he is free here, and he can actually say what he wants to say without being arrested. Certainly more now than can be said for so many others.

The actions by China are just getting more and more despicable. They honestly aren’t even trying to hide their intentions anymore. Not even in the slightest, but they are so confident that no one can touch them that they can get away with it. And honestly, until the west finally does the right thing and intervenes with full force, they can. My heart goes out to everyone in Hong Kong who longs for democracy to return. I understand that the odds against everyone are now stacked very high, but the battle must not be stopped, even on the streets. Once people go truly silent, they will be picked off one by one by the CCP. Everyone must come out together, to show that no matter what Beijing does, they will not be stopped.
