Thank you for writing this. I’m British so although I know a bit about this history but obviously don’t know about it as in depth as you are and wasn’t aware that it was entirely that bad. I cannot imagine what it was like being under the Russians for so long. No country should have to go back to that. We all need to stand with Ukraine now no matter what, and that includes all the people in Russia. I still can’t believe how gullible so many of them are after the world they lived in under Communism. It just makes no sense why they are being like this to me. If I saw what was happening I would know immediately but it was bad, yet surely if they can see that things are ‘returning to hell they were under total state control’ (including those who lived under it who are of the old guard), then they would know that it is a bad thing just as much of the young generation does. If Russians don’t have the guts to stand up and fight this, even if it puts themselves at risk, then they buy extension will make themselves just as guilty in the long run as the soldiers that marched through the streets of another country in the eyes of the global community. We do not hate ‘all Russians’, but that number will only expand with time unfortunately if this continues on.

Thank you ever so much for writing this to all of us across the world. We all truly appreciateWhat you have been trying to do all this time and hope you can continue to do so with the Russian governments ever encroaching eye over the populous. Russia I’m afraid has lost an impossible amount of respect from the world proportionate to the amount Ukraine has now gained but this was only right. You are correct though. Not everyone should feel guilty in Russia for what has happened as many have still tried to do The best they can but it makes sense to feel responsible as we can always try and do more. We can only hope now that the forces in Ukraine can do the best they can to swing the opinions of some in Russia and people like you on the other end are able to do what they can to eventually cause real change within the Russian government long-term. We know it will be coming now. The only question is what form it will take and when. Thank you for this.

@mountainguyed67 We’ve just got to hope that they can keep the protests up. I haven’t heard about much of it in the past few weeks.

Whenever Russians say they support what the government is doing or just simply say that if the government says it’s okay then they just go along with it, I get incredibly furious inside and I feel like my blood is boiling

Yes it’s good to see that even the Russians are starting to have enough of the nonsense coming from their media that just is absolutely literally unbelievable. As in, it’s NOT believable.

That is true but unfortunately the Russians did still vote to keep putting in even after 2014 and even though they had the access to the technology to get information from the outside, they still seem resistant to look at anything that puts the country in negative light because they’ve always been taught since the Communist days to not trust outside media as they think it’s all bias against Russia. It’s not by us if it is the truth. It’s true that we try not to blame all of the public for this, but they themselves are the ones that haven’t bothered to do the research necessary or adapt to the 21st-century as much as other Western countries and actually search for the truth beyond their own bubble, and even to this day are now just either too scared to respond at the expense of thousands of lives or are still just sucking up TV propaganda is the truth.

I totally agree that. Some Russians are definitely innocent but it feels like there is also a shared delusion among the public and they aren’t actually doing the research that is very much available at their fingertips to see the truth if they are willing to put in the effort to actually get the information. Be it using other apps with VPN. If not then they are unfortunately being complicit in donations actions and they too will have to be held accountable as well. This could be understandable under communism, but in the 21st-century it is no longer acceptable to make the excuse that you couldn’t be informed.😞

@Jacki B. Bang I definitely agree there. On that last point though you made, there is also those, like Putin and among the public who wish for Russia to regain some of what they considered to be its past glory and gain new territory. That instinct unfortunately is still inside a lot of us and it’s only natural considering we are human beings, another type of animal. So there will be many people who approve this just because the fact that they believe they are re-adding previous parts themselves back to the whole. Of course we have to make sure that doesn’t happen otherwise we all know it won’t stop there.

@mariyaa.6879 They didn’t evacuate to Russia they were transported there and didn’t have any choice in it. Many who are now in Russia areas had their documents taken from them and are being forced to get Russian ones which means they are being put under the umbrella of Russia. It is all part of Putin‘s bigger plan. As a result many of them have been said to be hiding their documents or giving them to friends to keep them safe so the Russians can’t get them.

Here here. I try to make as many overseas friend as possible during my time here at University. I'm in the UK so it's not hard. However it does also mean the impact of the war has hit that little bit more.

@cherrycherryreikikirschblu2185 ItAlso seems like the general public, including us in Britain actually did see it coming. It seems like the politicians and media experts have been acting like they didn’t see it coming at all and have been really shocked and seem to be speaking on behalf of everyone as if no one possibly could’ve known I’ve got a mono populous. But I and mini around me here in Britain did believe it was very much coming and thought it was ridiculous that we frankly weren’t incorporating Ukraine and asking the neighbouring countries to join NATO months or even years before the invasion. It seemed like it was staring us plainly in the face, yet the governments just happily kept sucking on the proverbial cock of Putin‘s Russia was allowing everything to happen. Same goes for China. We seem to be acting even now like that is not happening. When China is quite frankly our enemy in another shape and form as well. Except just like in Russia, it isn’t the people that are our enemy, but once again the government. The question is, if we can get ourselves together this time, will we act against the CCP before they make ‘their move’.
1
Yeah I know, I look forward to that response. Surely they will realise they are not on the good side very clearly if they see both nations end up joining.
