Well we all know this had to be done. It was put there illegally and is made of an environmentally damaging material. You can’t have that kind of thing up there permanently and without any of the wishes of the local community taken into consideration. It’s the same thing with the original statue being pulled down in the first place.

I think you are missing the entire point here. This statue was put up illegally, wasn’t put in a public place in a very secure way and was made of an environmentally damaging material, so of course it had to come down. Not to mention the fact that the original statue didn’t have to come down anyway. Just because you don’t like someone doesn’t mean everyone should think the same way you do. You should remember man for what he’s done, but you don’t have to glorify them for it. A statue doesn’t glorify a person, it allows you to remember them. What you should do is add to history, not tear it down. This is the entire floor with the far left argument in the first place.

Sorry mate, but unlike the other statues, this was put there illegally. Not to mention that it’s not very well secured and is made of an environmentally damaging material.

HerezCheez This’s exactly the point we are trying to get across. It just feel like the far left don’t want to hear any of it and are just covering their areas.😞

N Xarigow The fact that you still can’t help but label them as ‘evil statues’ it’s not helping your arguments here mate. It sounds very childish to phrase it like that. They are not evil. No inanimate object is evil. It is only the opinions of people that are placed upon them. They can be good or bad depending on the context or who views them. At the end of the day, they are just a statue of a person who is either dead or alive, and they allow us to remember them, not glorify them. All we can do is help to add more context to history, rather than tearing it down and imposing only one opinion.
