  1. Couldn’t agree more. This whole diversity target is embarrassing right from the start and it’s one of the reasons why we are in trouble in the first place. People don’t want to join an army if they feel like it is simply there to hit some sort of a diversity target, or they aren’t going to be treated right if the focus is always going to be on people who are from perhaps in minority or different sexual orientation background. It naturally puts off people who might be white or straight male very often. Not because they don’t tolerate or accept people of different ethnic or sexual backgrounds, but simply because of how the wider army as a whole will treat them for not being from that background or how the army’s efficiency or training standards will be affected as a result. We need to focus on increasing our numbers, and those need to be of the actual people who can do the work, no matter what their ethnicity or gender is. If it turns out to be more white men, then what does it matter.If they can do the work right, then all the better.

Yeah, not to mention the fact that apparently many people, sadly in the RAF have actually quit after training for several years to become pilots, yet, somehow, even after many years of training, some have still yet to ever actually fly an actual fighter jet. There are just so few available and maintenance is such a constant issue right now with the Tornadoes due to cuts when they shouldn’t be, that they just aren’t able to get out of basic simulators and being put on rotation ‘again and again’. As a result, many RAF pilots have actually quit when it was possible and gone straight into the private aviation sector. It sucks, but it’s for many the only option to ever get any satisfaction and finally get in the air. Not to mention the fact that being an airline pilot actually pays a lot more. IT SHOULD BE THE REVERSE. THIS’S SOOOO SCREWED UP. So the Royal Air Force is unfortunately screwing itself over here in more ways than one. Both thanks to bad management, bad policies and terrible government cuts driving all of it.

  4.  @Sammy1234568910  absolutely. That is of course so long as those people who want to join or actually physically able to do the work. In which case of course, women shouldn’t be allowed to join certain areas of the army. Certainly not frontline infantry work, unless they are actually quite uniquely, physically capable of doing the same workload. Absolutely cannot have standards lowered for individuals. Yes, perhaps have the option open to them, but if they clearly can’t physically do it from the get go, they shouldn’t be allowed to join. That should be the same for any man trying to join as well.

  5. It’s unfortunate really, but this might very well happen. It’s why we need to have better control of our borders on both sides of the channel. Amazingly, it seems that according to actual official predictions, this is indeed going to happen in the US. I’m not really bothered if just ethnicity changes in the UK (that’s just the movement of the world as it always has), but it’s happening way to unnaturally now and too fast, and if our cultural identity changes as well, then it really is a problem which no side will like.

  9. Yep. If she resigned for those reasons, then definitely the wrong person left. It’s kind of ironic really considering she was a lady in the first place, yet the ones who seem to be okay with these policies in front of the public are older white men.🤨 Very surprising to say the least. This’s all flipped. Perhaps they are the types who just don’t want to go back on the decision in order to look cool, right to the end.
