Your response is literally the opposite to how it should be. This is common sense falling down the wayside and it’s terrible news. How can so many still support this ancient form of power and metallurgy when there are alternatives already being used now in mainland Europe.

@matt_thomas Exactly. Nothing but small minded people living in the past, who don’t seem to realise that this technology needs to stay dead and buried, and it needs to be buried everywhere else.

That statement just made me feel sick to my stomach.

Feels like I’m listening to insanity in real time. This is the ugly side of the British public I don’t like that I thought had finally seen sense.

Absolute insanity. It sounds like all of the nutters and short minded heople have come out of the woodwork in these comments sections. This is absolutely horrific and terrible news when it has been nothing but bad news for months. Literally the only good news a few days ago was that onshore wind was allowed again, and now this has come along, which has completely ruined that announcement.

Why? Because Channel 4 gave unbiased reporting and listened to both the pro and anti-coalmine groups and asked the questions equally with the same tone for both of them? Yeeeeah. Sky is toootally better.😓

Definitely some of the worst news I’ve heard in weeks. This is an absolute embarrassment for the government and the nation and shows our government to be the enemy of the planet as a whole. Everyone who agreed on opening this new coal, mine is an enemy to all of us and must be removed from government, even if it means drastic action. This must be prevented no matter what. I will help or vote for whoever it is, if it means preventing it.

If it means stopping this from happening, I will gladly resurrect her.

@mosnackbar4121 Then I will be voting labour straight away. I have been a Tory supporter all of my voting life, so far, except for one time when I voted green party, but now, if it means stopping them and actually making us commit to our green targets, then I will vote labour. Honestly, I think labour now really is the answer, and that is something I never thought I’d say before. From what I’ve seen of labours green targets, they seem like the answer now sadly.

@BluntsmithThePackWizard your comment is like so many others. Completely pie in the sky and utterly short minded. Even if this thing was to open up, by the time it actually did so, it would already be made redundant again. So literally, pointless.
