  1. rougebaron76 I would love to actually see a huge line of mounted police, all with swords and Pikes, all prepared to charge into the crowds and mounting them on spikes as they charge through and flatten these out of control protesters once and for all. I picture the final scenes in the final Lord of the rings movie.šŸ˜‚šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼Honestly though, I do think now that if this doesnā€™t start to calm down, the police really do have every right to crush these people down ON MASS. But this will only work if they really do get absolutely everybody in to do this. Absolutely no room for error and get absolutely all of them by pinning them into a corner so there can be no counter attack.

  2. Yes, but so does history. Removing a statue of a major public figure from hundreds of years ago who did so much for schools and hospitals and building Bristol is not going to change that.

  3. These protesters have completely disregarded the feelings of the majority of the people who donā€™t want the statue to be removed. And when these people actually did take it down they end up throwing it in the river! Like that is the example a modern society is supposed to be taking when we are all meant to be more environmentally conscious about dumping. I hope they are able to fish it out of the river, and just as a punishment to these idiotic rioters, actually put it back up again, IN BULLET-PROOF GLASS.

  4. I couldnā€™t agree more. This mob has just gone out and followed the rioting heard desires over the wishes of the rest of the general public who donā€™t want this to continue. This is a matter for the US to deal with. This is not a UK problem. Although if this continues much longer then it certainly will be. Unfortunately, instead of it being an issue with the police, it will be an issue with the public out of control and the police having to come in and be the saviours of the day by getting rid of these idiots once and for all.

  5. Itā€™s all just absolute rioting heavy-handed craziness. This man also in the majority of his time gave a lot of money to the city including building schools and hospitals for Bristol. Tearing down the statue is not going to change the fact that city is better that he was there than not at all.

  6. Couldnā€™t agree more. These people seem to be more obsessed about having everything their own way rather than truly trying to understand things from both sides and actually learn from them. To these rioting idiots, itā€™s either their way or the highway.

  7. They basically stood by and did nothing. They were worried about public safety and just writing them up even more than they already were. Weā€™ve all seen how these idiots have been acting right now. It wouldā€™ve been unwise to jump into the situation and having the protesters unfairly attacking the police again. They will inevitably though have to get round to fishing it out of the river though. Unlike what the protesters seem to think, they canā€™t just leave it in there.
