@joesteel7409 Exactly. what the hell is wrong with these people. Why on earth are they wearing their ‘statements’ that they wouldn’t want to fight for their country (even though a conflict reaching our land would endanger their friends and family in the long-term) ‘like a badge of honour’. I do believe, or at least I dearly do hope, that when the moment comes, I will protect my nation in the armed forces or as part of the MOD in any way I can.

@heywatchme101 It’s coming people, whether we like it or NOT. Best just make the most of it and BE READY. Dragging our feet is only going to make things worse.

Honestly, I’m down. I can’t think of anyone I’ve spoken to so far, that at least has a brain on their shoulders who isn’t just radicalised and opinionated at university or uni style aged people, that isn’t down for this. We need to bring back at least a partial conscription.

@spookyt8692 Honestly, it’s not the wooorst idea. I do have a sneaking suspicion that the government doesn’t want to go to war, because they believe that the majority of those that would have to fight under the ‘current laws’ have to be citizens who have lived in the UK for a very long time and are on average properly integrated into the country (why lease would they choose to fight), or were actually born here. So an actual war of this scale predicted would deplete a huge amount of the ‘average British population’ by the end of it. It’s a rather disturbing thought on the government’s side of things, or even in real average population Britain, but it could well be true. It happened after the first and second world war after all. This third war could be the last nail in the coffin. So using those that want to come and live in the UK instead could be a solution to push this back and also get only some of the best coming in. The only problem is, there’s no guarantee they would at all be at the educational level or be physically strong enough to fight at British military standards if they’re only migrants and illegals.😓😞
