I guess it makes sense that this would finally happen. Seeing as of course people are going to be a lot more respectful and composed both before and after funeral ceremonies by comparison to weddings, it makes sense that they would be the first to have the limits on people attending removed. Not to mention frankly they have far more emotional importance in the end in many ways than a wedding. There’s a lot of stupid hate in the comments section though which I find very shameful. People bashing the government for preventing people from attending in large numbers at funerals in the first place. You’ve got to realise that somehow morning your loved one doesn’t give you an automatic piece of protection against Covid. It was harsh but necessary. If our loved ones could see us they would say the same thing and wish for us to remain safe. We can mourn the dead anytime, but we only live once.

No, it was just necessary. People have got to grow up and realise that emotions aren’t some kind of ‘barrier against a virus’. Do we really think that our departed loved ones would’ve wanted us to have attended funerals only to put other people at risk. If I died of Covid I wouldn’t want other people to gather en masse at my funeral only to endanger their lives as well. We have got to just open our eyes Beyond small-minded squabbling as we’ve seen from many people in this country who do not make up the majority, and realise that some things are more important. If we all thought the way you do right now, we’d be in the same state India is in. They put all their festivals, religious events and other non-socially distanced mass gatherings above the word of scientists and now they are screwed.

Don’t be stupid. Don’t bring that nonsense here.

Yes they did. It’s called safety. People really have got to stop going on about this. You do not make up the majority. We understood that these limitations were necessary and we just had to accept them. We can all mourn the the dead properly at the gravesites once this is over. It doesn’t have to be straight away anyway.
