You do not know that. You can never know what is going to a persons head. Kate is a wonderful woman and there is every reason to believe that she would legitimately want to go along and show her sorrow at a vigil like this while it was still calm. She probably knew though that people are going to start overreacting and acting stupid later on anyway as that’s usually what happens now so she went early, which again, was the right decision.

It’s because she actually ‘followed the rules’ and recommendations (as she has actually done amazingly well for the past 10 years) for going to vigil like this. Clearly the vast majority did not. Video footage doesn’t lie.

Not really. It’s just clearly obvious that Kate followed all the procedures that we all should’ve been doing. That is quite clearly what they meant. Once again people trying to make a big deal out of nothing. People who literally piled onto the police about this when they gave the people a huuuge amount of time to listen to them but to no avail and (and they really DID give people more time than they needed to obey). Just because they are the police doesn’t mean you are somehow always going to be automatically right and you have the right to hate on them or something. To those people I say, shame on you. We are not in America. We are British.

I definitely agree with this statement. When you look at all the video footage shown in ‘chronological order’, rather than the cutdown edited version some of the protesters want us to look at, you’ll see that the police actually did do a very good job and it was the people at the visual who became the real problem and a genuine public endangerment. The police took their time as best they could over a very protracted period and the people did ‘nothing to listen to them’ because they ‘thought’ they had the right to ignore them. Big mistake. From what we can tell, the Duchess of Cambridge really did have a right to be there as she followed all the procedures the right way. Went straight to the middle, laid down flower,s didn’t dillydally or congregate and then quickly but ‘politely’ left. That is what it should be like right now under the restrictions caused by this terrible pandemic.
