  1. Well you can’t exactly have security around 24 seven you know. Most of the time you might just have one member of security per gallery room or for every two depending on the size. Plus they didn’t damage the artwork which obviously was the right thing to do here, so why would we stop them. They are doing the right thing here.

  2. A very gutsy move indeed considering the importance of this painting, but I also feel that Leonardo would have approved. Well done to the activists involved here. No one can possibly ignore this one.

  3. Well that’s true. These people are not fools. They understand the importance of this painting long-term and it would be heresy to artwork and the artists involved to glue yourself to the actual piece, rather a piece of tarmac, glass or concrete when it cannot be so easily repaired. They definitely made the right decision here, as they seem to have done the same in other galleries with other paintings.

  4. Well what else can we do. People keep ignoring the facts so we need to make statements like these. People keep bashing these groups for trying to do the best they can, yet those same people don’t come up with any other solutions themselves, so this is the best we can do most the time apart from peaceful or silent protests.
