Yikes, I’m really surprised that 16 minutes would bother anyone that much considering how endanger the everyday citizen might be. Although I’m in the UK so I guess our crime levels just aren’t that much of a concern.🤨I can completely understand having a gun for hunting though, and I am a supporter of moderate hunting of certain game bread species so long is it for a good purpose like the furs to be reused or the meat, but really not for home defence at all. We just generally have faith in the police here and know that owning a gun and the dangers it can pose to others long-term in its life is not worth the risk versus just trusting that the police will get there in time and that as human individuals, physically, with our own hands and what else we might have at home, we are capable of defending ourselves.

Thanks for your service man to your country man. All of us in the UK feel just so much safer without guns around and definitely applaud you for your decision not to arm up again. I hope at least others will be inspired in the coming days and weeks to do the same. It definitely isn’t all about changing everybody’s minds. So long as we can change at least one mind that can create a domino affect, it will be worth it.

@pureounce.9184 Here here. We really don’t need them here in the UK and if the US would just decrease their firearms, especially among those who don’t even need them in the slightest in the first place, then haps we could persuade the general populous to disarm as well.

Here here. The ones who have true courage of the ones that have the strength to put down these weapons and step out into the world.

@Willowy13 It’s Cold calling the police. The rest of the civilised world does it and so should America right theResulting to deadly firearms. If you’re so concerned about protecting yourselves, then just use the bloody things that are at the ends of your arms. We are not babies. Guns are tough, but they are also just as much a cow was weapon is anything else as it is you trying to keep as much distance from anyone you consider a threat as possible. If you wish to defend yourself, you can use anything around your house, but a gun is just unacceptable long-term in a civilised society outside of the army and defence services.

Too true. Let’s just hope he can at least inspire one other person at least to do the same thing. It’s not about changing everyone’s minds. If it can at least inspire one other person to do the right thing, it will be worth it.

This is a very crucial thing we in the UK see when looking in the US. We need to be able to lower your gun levels both for extreme firearms and those who definitely do not need it at all right now. Namely those who obviously aren’t in a long-term relationship or married with children. And once those go down then also decrease the number of guns used by the police as well. Once it is more moderate then the guns altogether must go from the general populous including those with families. Once that happens then the police can forgo their guns for general street offices as well and only have them for emergencies. It will have to be a step-by-step piece of work that unfortunately will most likely take well over 10 or 20 years of hard development and pushing back again the far right and those who will definitely be radicalised in fear of these measures who are scared of change, but it will have to be done and your country would definitely be better off for it.

I truly hope the rest of Americans see this and do the same thing. It has been time for all of these weapons to be gone a looong time ago.
