  1. Exactly. They don’t seem to realise the fact that stick shifts are far from going extinct over here in the UK and the rest of Europe. Automatics over here are not the norm.

  2. Oh totally. Why do you think we literally have the joke that standard is basically ‘scum class’, because that’s how the seats treat you. I don’t regularly fly, but if I did I would still very much prefer and definitely invest in the higher class seating just below business. I don’t really think most of the majority of people need to go above that.

  4. I really do hope one day it won’t have to be that way anymore and we don’t have to arrive two hours before the flight. I mean obviously makes sense to arrive ahead of time and they really should have a particular cap, but it should be really more of an hour, and not two hours. Of course with terrorism always a threat, that’s the reason I guess why they need to have all these lines of safety in the first place. Until that threat has gone, I think the big delays in airports are going to be with us for the foreseeable future.

  7. This really goes to show really how much London contrasts New York in this area. London taxi cab drivers have always been very nice on average and try to take pride in taking care of their cabs. Plus they have regularly updated the vehicles to stay with both internal design and emission standards. Thankfully, as well, it looks like half if not more than half of London cabs are electric (with the new top down rebuilt electric model that came out a few short years ago) now and are even more comfortable than they were before, which was already pretty good as you could have plenty of headspace, as well as even having the option to sit backwards to face your friends within the passenger space. Plus it’s been a rule that London taxicabs be wheelchair accessible for many many decades now, so it’s not just their iconic look that makes them so distinctive in the world, but also their efficiency and technological acceptance. Comfortable ride, good customer experience, and no more emissions, London taxi cabs for the win.

  10. Yeah, I’ve never been to America myself, but I’ve never heard anything overly positive about New York cabdrivers in terms of the customer service. Sure, I’m sure they are experts at making their way around the cities, including the outer areas, but nothing brilliant in terms of how they treat their passengers. In the city of London, it is very different. You won’t always get very chatty cabs, but many will just be very quiet, but the vast majority are very kind, like to chat, but know when to stop and will sometimes even just go around and give people private tours of the city and the prices are honestly quite fair by comparison to those in America. Uber is a threat here as well, but in London, many have learned to just live side-by-side.

  11. I would definitely have to say that in terms of metals and things like wire ties I am definitely worried most in how all of this will affect the electric car market. It’s still the future but it feels like electric car production could be affected most over standard combustion vehicles if alternative supply lines aren’t set up fast enough. Tesla’s Gigafactory Shanghai has already had to close for quite a few days now due to the fact that the city is on lockdown due to a Covid outbreak and the government isn’t letting the people go back to work. So this problem in Europe could massively affect electric vehicle production here as well and who knows how much that could affect the ones being made in the US. It’s like if you remove or add a new creature into an ecosystem. One thing becomes a domino effect for everything else. We need to get this war ended and aaall help Ukraine to win ASAP.

  14.  @RF-vg5kv  Aaah yeah, that’s how I spent the majority of my life growing up. I am in the UK so we’ve never really had that whole mall obsession. They take up way too much space and we are more conservative about industrialised construction like that in the 21sr century, but still, it sure must’ve been nice to hang out in on occasion.

  16. Oh definitely. Only makes sense really to have them as two separate aircraft for this. One is that our business and premium economy only and other ones that are just standard. There’s no real point in trying to squeeze both different classes that are radically different together into one aircraft. It makes it inconvenient and annoying for both the passengers and the crew. Little and the engineers both at the suppliers and the main aircraft manufacturers who have to try and figure out how to balance all the different classes and their aesthetics together in one fuselage.

  20. Well we say only 10%, but that by logic can mean then that roughly ‘one in every ten people’ could be affected or ‘spread that out over 10 people’. So in the end that is actually quite a lot. It’s not half, but on average that is still quite a large number.

  23. I can’t imagine how much less it costs from there to Japan. I’m in the UK and for us, it usually is guaranteed to cost well over £900 or £1000 to get to Japan. That’s if you even take a connected flight.😓😫

  25. Yeah it was definitely I’d imagine a good place to meet girls back in the day. Today with this being less of a norm, especially here in the UK as we never really thankfully bought into that sort of thing, we only have places like cafés, pubs or nightclubs to really make more of a connection if it’s not in school.

I’m 25 and basically throughout my life this whole fear about being accused of somehow sexual harassment has always been at the back of my mind whenever it comes to talking to a girl so it’s been nearly impossible to really get anywhere beyond saying hello or being just classmates.😩 Really, teens and Uni students just a few decades ago (even The early noughties) had it so lucky. They could just say what was on their minds and didn’t have to think about it as people would just be honest right back and move on.

Today it’s impossible to know what anyone is thinking and if you dare ever make a tiny insinuation about anything you are immediately bashed or laughed at. Definitely doesn’t help either in the world of social media anymore. It’s why people’s self-confidence has completely plummeted. Sometimes it almost feels like a miracle anyone my age is in a relationship at all these days.

That’s why so many of us just feel like it isn’t worth the effort to get a girlfriend or even try and aim for a hook up these days. That probably explains why escorting is also on the rise. It’s just easier to do it that way for some. Hardline feminism, social media and cultural demands have made it impossible to know what we are supposed to do anymore and feel like we just can’t approach girls or even look them in the eye for to long if you don’t know them enough. I have experienced this all through my teens and into university. How on earth some guys are still able to achieve the impossible I do not know.

  34. Well I’m afraid that’s not really the case here, as a lot of the metals like they said are the ones that are crucial in the future EV industry. Without it then old cars will just stay on the road for longer. What we should be doing now is using this time to better recycle old vehicles to get the crucial metals from them we need rather than just needlessly crushing them and salvaging them as just raw singular metals to melt down.

  36. It’s absolute ridiculous how much California is actually charging these companies. I mean, I understand taxation on big companies needs to increase obviously, and every state should be doing this at the same time, but this level is far too much and uneven. California has clearly gotten too cocky to the idea that they are somehow the greatest of the states for the big tech companies and it will be harder for them to leave as they are going to get more people wanting to go there than Texas. And really logically speaking that is true, but the taxation now is just too much. Obviously Texas is wanting to take massive advantage of this as they’ve got very little else to make people want to go to such a heavily right leaning hot state like that. Although inevitably as taxation increases all over the US (as it should), I’d imagine a lot of companies will be starting to even out if not just heading back to California again as there will be less president to remain in Texas and head out to the more open and/or coastline located cities with more greenery.

We all know that we won’t be able to keep the emissions down as they are now once this particular storm has passed, but we can only hope that people realise they didn’t need as much as they thought they did before.

Which means I have only two options, and I definitely don’t want to be the lower one.😓 Gonna have to work reeeeally hard to come out on top to have even a comfortable happy life, and even that feels like a big ask for the Uni student aged person these days.

Probably one of the main barriers for all these so-called Tesla rivals is that they really just don’t look like electric cars so people don’t really notice them when they are out on the street or being advertised as such, while test on the other hand has no problem with that. These usually petrol purists are just too stubborn to push outside the box now and most the time and be brave enough to get rid of the grill on the front of the vehicle, that’s an electric car really just doesn’t need. Also, just a shout out to this video. Hearing the guy doing the voice-overs giving all these American pronunciations of European and Japanese cars is just absolutely cringe as hell. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE Still though, this is a very good unbiased coverage of the current EV market, especially in the US right now. I hope we can have one done for how things are going here in the UK right now.
