  4. America is so fucked up this is hilarious . I am married to another man we have three kids and life is fucking fantastic here in Switzerland , i was born accidentally (parent's job) in Arizona , you can't decide where you are born and who your family will be for the first decade and a half of your life , but you can change the rest of your life from that point on . I was lucky i have the most intelligent and caring parents on the planet who couldn't give less of a fuck of me being gay , my coming out lasted 3 seconds then they asked me to work hard prepare my future and try not to become an asshole , that was about it . My father told me , great whatever , gay is neither a personality nor a job or an occupation so make something more relevant of your life than being gay because this will get boring and irritating very soon if all you hear are stories about your gay life . Best fucking advice any parent could ever give to a gay kid . Anyway long story short . If you don't like your life or your family get the fuck away from it , jump on a bus on a plane , work your ass off and become the person you've always dreamt to be (in my case a veterinarian) the rest will fall into place naturally . If your parents want to send you to those camps and threaten to disown you and cut out your resources , tell them to fuck off and leave the house , work your ass off in restaurants bars, clean the crappers do whatever it takes to sustain yourself and keep yourself alive without getting yourself into trouble , and get comfort in the fact that no matter how hard it is , it is always much better than lying to yourself and let people turn you into someone you will hate for the rest of your life . You are gay , this is not a disease not a fucking curse not a punishment from those fucking god misinterpretation, this is what you are , own it , no need to be proud of it , this is not a fucking peace Nobel prize but don't hate it , don't fight it and just live your life . I am a fucking nobody but if anybody needs to chat here , drop a line . You'll always get an answer . And for the cunts who just want to leave mean comment , piss the fuck off, comments will be immediately deleted and every cunt reported .

  7. I did modeling to put myself through med school (i was scouted so this wasn't a vanity thing, i just saw the opportunity to earn money while still being able to study), and Sean is absolutely right, the hardest thing is to keep contact with reality. One day you are working at a gas station in New Mexico and the following week you are walking the runways in Paris, Tokyo, NY and London, one day you are studying for your midterms and the next one you are having dinner with Lagerfeld or dancing with Madonna (Sorry Sean i did that before you!) so it is very difficult to keep in mind that one day everything is going to stop and you will be back where you started , so you'd better have a solid academic background to fall back on. I was lucky never to have been attracted by this kind of life, i always wanted to be a vet and this is what i am today. Actually, if anything, working for an industry which is so cruel to animals definitely strengthened my resolution to be of help to animals as a first hand witness of the agony they are put through for vanity. The other thing i am grateful to (so it may seem odd to thank them) are the dozens of people , female and male, who approached me and offered me (and many of my fellow male and female model friends), money for my (our) "company" . Whether my coworkers or myself accepted or not is irrelevant , but being surrounded by people who treat you like a piece of flesh they can buy or rent or lease (because the recruiters (read pimps) were everywhere too, often disguised as agents, photographers, close "friends") was a constant reminder of what life for most models goes on, once the career is over. And it seemed like once this door closes (shuts down actually) you are left with too options, escorting or porn, and none seemed very tempting to me. You are wrong Sir, reality is not overrated , reality is the only thing which matters in life, and once you cut yourself away from it, your life stops being your life , it just becomes other people's life. A journalist of all people, should fully understand this concept and the importance of reality and sticking to it. Today i live in the mountains of Switzerland half the year working for the Unesco biosphere and the other half in the northernmost part of Iceland where my family is from ( i was just born and partially raised in Arizona, Utah and New mexico), working as an ethologist for the Hornstrandir nature reserve. Sometimes i open some old boxes, albums and books i kept from that period and look at the photos or videos of those people everybody seems to know but whom i actually knew personally or worked with, like Naomi, Linda, Claudia, Christy, Madonna, George Michael, Boy george, Jean paul G, Yves SL, Karl, Vivienne, Kenzo, Yohji, Paco, etc, and old friends like Greg Hansen, Marcus, and the ones who are sadly not among us anymore, the gorgeous Albert Delegue and the Goddess Katoucha Niane, and still dear friends like Erin O'Connor, and my bestie Eve Salvail, and then i look out the window at the animals i take care off, the shelters i opened and the two clinics and i feel like reality is what matters. I also realize that it is easier and more within anybody's reach to dance with Madonna and hang out with her than to support a thesis and complete veterinary school. So really when i hear that a model didn't rest for 6 months and didn't have a single day off, i can hardly feel sorry, especially when you still have a grasp on reality and know that there are single parents out there doing three jobs to feed their kids and nothing is glamorous or well remunerated about these jobs. I am grateful to whatever allowed me to have this career, first and foremost this completely random DNA sequence which made me a potential candidate to this job), but i am also fairly certain i missed out on having a normal teenager and young adulthood and that in some way it must have left some damage here and there (i don't think a 16 year old boy should be offered money or a car by people three times his age to keep them company, or be exposed to a life of abuses he was absolutely not ready or made for. Maybe working at the gas station on road 491 in New Mexico wouldn't have been so bad. But sometimes when i think back of it, and because the day this car stopped and this model agency headhunter gave me his card after i checked his tires, refueled his car, and cleaned his windshield and told me to give him a call if interested, i often wonder if this wasn't all a test. After all the road back then was called road 666. Maybe Faust tempted me, or saved me because without it i might have never ended where i am today. I wish Sean the best in life, he reminds me a lot of myself at that age (though he is far better looking than i was)but he seems equally simple and serene and chances are he will be a marine zoologist. That's all the bad i wish him.

  20.  Europa H2O Alien  If you can not control yourself because you are with 200 other people, then don't take the plane . And if you are going to take the plane, instead of alcohol, get a xanax and do the rest of the passengers a favour . And if you are going to blame the airline , then , the more the reason for you to take the train, your car or a ship . You are exactly the kind of passenger i do not want to be allowed on planes.. I fly 4 times a week minimum between London where i work and Zurich where i live , plus i round trip per month to New York city and one ever two months to Tokyo and Hong Kong (i work for the UN) , very regularly to Berlin, Paris , and Venice because i like the cities and they are less than an hour away, and i fly back home to Iceland at least 4 times a year. I have never had any problem with Swiss air, with Japan air lines, or with Iceland air maybe because Swiss people, Japanese people and Icelandic people know how to behave . Even French, Germans and Italians know how to behave, actually Germans are terrific . The only times i have encountered bad passengers was in the US and in the UK and always because their ego was apparently too big for the plane or they had a little bit too much to drink . If you can't control yourself, do not get on a plane . I will fly economy to Iceland, Swiss, Japan, France, Germany, Italy and Hong Kong, but i will always fly business or first to the UK, the US because i do not want to have to put up with degenerates who believe that the plane belongs to them or the airline owes them anything when they bought the cheapest possible ticket they could find on the net . And i don't want to have kids next to me either so .... And don't insult rats , rats are extremely well behaved animals .
