@Nepthu Well actually i am the gay child so i am the last person on earth who would disown his kids for being gay. And as a matter of fact my Japanese husband and myself have 6 adopted kids, all coming from various countries around the globe and all with a different skin complexion. So no i would not disown my kids for being gay, just like i would not disown them or anyone else for being from another colour than mine.
I only disown stupidity and cruelty.
I will not be the one throwing a stone at Roseanne, she did what she did because of her convictions, and whether i agree or disagree with her is irrelevant because she is not family or friend or related to me in any way. But i don't like hypocrites who have black people on their show because of quotas and then throw racist slur at them on a tweet.
I have my convictions and i will never be a hypocrite about them and/or compromise with them.
Simple example. I am vegan, i was raised, vegan, my parents were raised vegan and it goes on and on fro a few generations (because of religious beliefs at first and then a genuine love for animals), my husband is vegan, we are both veterinarians, and our kids are raised vegan. This is the one rule i will never compromise about. If any of my kids wants meat, i will provide the knife, the hen (both paid with their pocket money) and tell them were to cut , watch it die, then how to empty it, clean it and how to cook it. If they want to buy meat at the supermarket i will tell them to find a way to make their own money to buy it, and while they're at it, find a way to sustain themselves because there'll be no meat eaters under my roof.
See, no hypocrisy, no compromising.
And yes i will disown my kids if they decide to eat meat, because i am not supporting people i don't share the values of. Not even my own kids. They'll be allowed under my roof without meat until they are old enough to get emancipated and then if they want meat, they live on their own and i'll remove them from my will and my family name.
That's called integrity .

@Morgan Olfursson You sound like a parent who would disown a child for being gay. Good thing you never make mistakes in your life. Not everyone is perfect.
We all make mistakes in our lives, which is why i won't throw stone at her, but we must all accept the responsibility of those mistakes, something she didn't do.
