  1.  @history_repeats8201  Turkey has been occupying Cyprus so hard that they put their weight behind unifying the island with the UN and Greece as part of the Annan plan of 2004. Turkish Cypriots overwhelmingly voted for reunification, Greek Cypriots (not wanting to live in harmony or as equals with Turkish Cypriots) voting overwhelming against reunification. The treaty would have actually meant that there would have been 900 more Greek soldiers on the island than Turkish soldiers. Not to mention the 2017 Switzerland Crans-Montana peace talks that Turkey also engaged with as an attempt to reunify the island, which yet again the Greek Cypriots rejected and refused. Hence you have bizarre comments like this one - screaming and crying about "Occupation" when the Greek side have repeatedly refused any attempts to put provisions in place which would mean Turkish Cypriots could live in peace without the fear of being powerless and vulnerable to another attempt to genocide them.
