Nuclear provides no net energy once you factor in the 1 million years of waste management.

@brsi9916 majority of it can't, lmao

@lemdixon01 Uranium-235 has a half-life of 703.8 million years; that means we're going to use energy from the post nuclear energy world to manage waste from this dumb f*ck epoch

@Norimtim you have to look at the total mass of waste product, not just the uranium. Only ~15% of all waste can be recycled.

Inflation doesn't push up interest rates! Look at the data. 90% of the time interest rate rises precede general price inflation! DATA DATA DATA

until they agree, they don't agree with net zero

@miguelsousa9802 It's all a farce, since one B52 bomber sortie (return trip) produces more emissions than one worker commuting over the course of his entire working life. GDP has been flat for most of the western/developed world since ~2008 now, this means our consumption isn't growing, meaning our emissions are not growing. Birth rates are 1 to 1.6, so population decline is 100% inevitable. The main polluter is wasteful industrial processes; number 2 is transport; a distant third is residential. If every country takes care of its local air/water pollution, the problem fixes itself. These carbon offsetting schemes make absolutely no sense, since it cannot be offset. Demonising carbon = demonising carbon life forms: us, human beings. Utterly myopic metric, and reality dictates that it will be dropped. UK per capita CO2 emissions have now fallen to 1858 levels, after peaking in 1972. Germany is now back to 1950 levels. France is back to 1947 levels. I'm telling you it's a sham
