  1. Stop harping on about GDP if you want to gauge the wealth of people. Look at the average wage/average house-price multiple. Look at the unemployment rate and median inflation-indexed salaries.

  3.  @Sieuxerr1621  Work for and deliberately aim for a promotion (not without a wage bump) every 5 years; agree milestones with your boss, and make sure they know your intentions. Have a part-time self-employed side job you're able to enjoy, it may save you (at least somewhat) if the labour market has a seismic shift.

  4. You admit the OPEC embargo made prices higher, and then blame it on salaries anyway? 6:30 - Only Euro carrying nations have arbitrary fiscal caps, you should have taken this opportunity to condemn the caps, not to condemn better salaries!
