@kFIRmAGNOON "Your point is "I'm right, you're stupid, I win" - no it isn't. I said not everything that is unethical is criminal. it doesn't register as a wrong that deserves incarceration time. that's why most courts would side with me. and the u.s isn't "civilised" by default. guantanamo? abhu ghraib? Iraq? Afghanistan? people being thrown out of hospital for lack of medical insurance? I was thinking more in line with countries like switzerland, germany, austria, france, britain, australia etc

@kFIRmAGNOON alternatively would the court convict a jewish man for lying in order to bed a palestinian woman? this scenario was mentioned on the vid. y don't u follow

@StephSilvermen "It is not irrelevant that he is married" - i already showed u that it is irrelevant. she just wanted a fuck on a rooftop and out of racism was humiliated to learn of his ethnicity. vague assertions about "damaging consequences" (over a fling!) do not qualify as argument, precisely because they're vague. newsflash: a significant percentage of those who marry have extra marital affairs. u can't throw them all into prison unless u want whole towns quarantined to act as prisons

@kFIRmAGNOON ""the conviction would never stand if roles were reserved". Do you have facts to back that up?" let's reverse the roles. u think an Israeli court would convict a Jewish woman of raping a Palestinian man, if she lied to sleep with him? never! "Are you bigoted against Israel?" - yes that's it! every single dissenter is in fact anti-Semitic! this whole comments section is filled with hateful anti-Semitic zealots! u idiot..........

@kFIRmAGNOON wtf do honour killings have to do with consensual sex? lying about your religion and/or ethnicity is not a crime, except in a backward societies like israel.
1
@kFIRmAGNOON "The point is that Israel has very strict rape laws- maybe stricter (more protective of women), than the USA. Does that make Israel bad?" YES. In this context, absolutely it does! It was not rape! The woman has the right to send a man to jail for lying? Then lock up 50% of men! It infringes on the rights of the man to NOT go to prison for merely fibbing about his marital status/religion/ethnicity. None of which are a crime. They're unethical, but they're not crimes.
1
@kFIRmAGNOON "Yes, being unethical can be a crime" not in this context. not for any other court in the civilised world. "stealing sex" haha
1
@StephSilvermen so you're suggesting that this judicial injustice is applied evenly throughout society rather than directed at one ethnicity? that isn't much better. injustice is injustice. silvermen? look, just because a court is constituted of people of the same ethnicity/religion/nationality as you, doesn't mean they can't be sorely wrong. how simple minded can one be? btw this woman slept with him on a rooftop minutes after meeting him. that's pretty fucking loose, even for loose women. lol

@kFIRmAGNOON "Perhaps "sex fraud" instead of "rape by deception" - you're understanding me now. consensual sex by definition can never wear the moniker of "rape" "some acts of deception seem to go beyond the fibs of regular dating. When it is known that the "sex fraud" would cause extreme distress" - this particular case doesn't qualify, as any "anguish" the woman suffers is a result of her racism/intolerance towards arabs or islam. the state shouldn't legitimise her view for obvious reasons
1
@kFIRmAGNOON "judges were more concerned that he was married with two children, than the Muslim issue" - but that's not a crime either. he was essentially convicted for being Palestinian. the conviction would never stand if roles were reserved. "If there was a "sex fraud" law, he would still be in jail" - not if he lived somewhere civilised. it seems u have another motive than a purely moral one. u have a picture of an arab holding a knife in your profile pic. you're not a hateful bigot are u?
1
@StephSilvermen "totaly absurd and baseless attack" - I'm afraid it isn't since you're agreeing out of fervent nationalism. It's what we call: bias! this is further borne out by the fact that u insist on deflecting attention away from this case by talking about other (irrelevant) misdoings in neighbouring (arab) states; as if they're pertinent to this story. "2. You aren't dictator of the world" - apparently i need to be a dictator of the world to discern between justice & injustice. genius!
1
@kFIRmAGNOON it varies from state to state. u want to tally up the number of courts who'd agree with my perspective and the number who'd agree with yours? finding a couple of hair brained courts doesn't prove a thing; other than u found a couple of hair brained courts. why do u keep talking about islam and arabs? they're not pertinent to the court case in israel. it's unconnected. it's like you're trying to say "we're ok, because we found that one of our neighbours is worse on this". you're not
1
@kFIRmAGNOON nobody's talking about sharia law because it's not relevant to the discussion at hand. elaborate in a logical manner, rather than bringing in random legal systems (that have nothing to do with israel) as if it proves your point

@StephSilvermen 1. copy/paste the ad hominem and/or fallacy back to me. there are none. if you're referring to the "simple minded" statement, that is axiomatic of all over-zealous nationalists. 2. u need an international treaty to tell right from wrong? lmao. Lastly, this verdict makes a mockery of what real rape victims go through. i don't think someone who wants a fuck on a rooftop minutes after meeting a man was after a serious relationship, so it's irrelevant that he's married.
