  1. This *expletive* is giving us her laywoman's opinion on the basal character of women in general, when she's defining ambition in her own narrow view. Why is being a mother and housekeeper a supposed unambitious route? I bet anyone reading this, that your job is nothing like as tough/challenging/demanding as raising a person. More than that, ambition in our societal context usually is the selfish, step-on-everyone-you-can type ambition that causes such havoc, e.g. bankers and politicians.
