@dewolford "You get to use a fridge but its not yours now" It is mine, just not exclusively so. The fridge doesn't decrease in utility now that it's shared; if anything it increases. This isn't the government "taking" anything from u, it's about a democratic social agreement (since it'd go to a vote) where all ppl agree to put into a pot (taxation) and at different times we all take out according to need. Just think of the government as a safe house and dispenser of our money.

@rmcdaniel You made two fallacious statements 1) Democracy is only good when the decision is unanimous on a subject more important than pizza topping 2) Hard work isn't\couldn't be applauded/rewarded under a socialist system. Democracy generously gives infants like you the power to vote, the power to have a say, but u don't like that because u might be in the voting minority. Tough shit
