If he had been successful it would have reprieved Daniel Agard and Lester Pitman, pictured top, after they slit the throats of BBC newsreader Lynette Lithgow-Pearson and her family in 2001" I'm also against the death penalty, but this seems an odd case for Keir Starmer to throw his weight behind; a case with overwhelming evidence.

@stevebrooks9119 I think they should do what's best for their society. Starmer's remit is defence of a defendant, not to upend penal codes. Their laws are for their contexts. Transplanting our ideals onto other societies is a deeply arrogant thing to do
