@labouraredangerous The English are not indigenous to Britain, since they arrived between the 5th and 7th centuries. Even the Romans were here before the Angles (where 'Angles' is a transliteration of 'English') and Saxons (from Saxony). The Celts, conversely, have inhabited Britain for more than 3000 years. Brittany takes it's name from the Britons who fled the Anglo-Saxon invasions, so you're more likely to meet an indigenous Brit walking around in Brittany, France, than you are anywhere in England "The Anglo-Saxons primarily belonged to the haplogroup R1b-L21, which they shared with other Germanic peoples. This subclade is still found at a higher frequency in England and southeastern Scotland compared to other parts of the British Isles, reflecting the Anglo-Saxon settlement patterns."

@ramicollo wrong, the local candidate is irrelevant, their party allegiance is critical. In actuality we vote for parties, not people; irrespective of the candidates on the ballot paper. You think you're smart

Marches are a feature, not a bug. There is no "fault" here

Robbo Chaplin you're mad, though the threat is overblown. This is a long way away from being a new Spanish flu

@emmal7920 Stop listening to Murdoch companies like TalkTV and the Sun! There are more arrests and more violence at Glastonbury each year than these peaceful marches. Stop demonising anti genocide protestors! Are you pro genocide?
1
@mohanace2533 Three Je ws did that: Djemal Pasha, Enver Pasha, Talaat Pasha. They were trialled and incarcerated, only to be let go by Britain (in Malta); then assassinated in Operation Nemesis by the Armenians.
1
@tomdonovan5341 Rubbish, anyone who is anti-genocide is in support. MILLIONS have marched since October (it's every week, and the biggest single march was nearly 400,000). Are you pro genocide? Britain is sending munitions to Israel so it IS involved

@margaretnicol3423 Oh, please. AVERAGE savings for middle income earners is £10,000. A house in a CHEAP London borough (just for example) is £500,000, do you want to own 1/50th of a house? How the *uck would that even pan out? Silly dingbat. The Chancellor needs to help working and middle class families the most. The rich, by virtue of the fact that they are rich, are *ucking fine. They don't need more help
1
@margaretnicol3423 I gave you a macroeconomic metric (average savings) and then you tell me to buy a shed. I would engage, but I might as well attempt to teach calculus to a cat
1
@margaretnicol3423 Still not understanding I see. Do you know of any positive macroeconomic indicators or are you still rummaging around in your shed?

The energy crisis is merely energy companies upping prices by 5x. Nothing to do with supply and demand, currently
