  2. True, but you can be temporary allies on a common cause. You need to set your bar lower, cos if you expect any two parties to agree on EVERY fundamental topic, then by definition no one has allies. This is why I like BRICS, it's a loose confederacy. They can be onboard for project X, and say F**k you to project Y. It's not monolithic like the USA (it's not a country, it's 50 countries federated, posturing as one) or the EU
